If each side is convinced it's the other, maybe it truly is centrist.Oh good, it's the BBC is left biased, no the BBC is right biased argument again...
Don't be afraid, the clowns aren't going to hurt you.
It’s caching sorry @SteMerrittChrist man, use some full-stops instead of commas once in a while.
No I haven't, I just find you banging on about the BBC being a mouthpiece for the right utterly boring and completely devoid of any reality, it's slap bang in the middle and we should be grateful for it, I'd take it over what the Yanks are served up in their 'democracy' any day of the weekThe point is is shouldn't happen and you've just gone from 'no it didn't' to 'oh yeah it did' but justified it on the back of something that hasn't happened. All over the place.
A significantly high number of people haven't paid their license fee for a long long time, regardless of their declining impartiality. Mostly because so few U30s actually watch TV as opposed to just using streaming platforms. Yes. I know iPlayer is one of those, but it's far behind the big boys.![]()
Trump threatens $1bn legal action against BBC over 6 January speech edit - live updates
The BBC chair earlier apologises for the "error of judgement" over the documentary and says the BBC is considering how to respond to the US president.www.bbc.co.uk
The BBC front page is still my usual go to for up to date news (out of habit and loyalty I guess) but I’ve felt for some time that there there are certain journalists and some editorial content that is clearly (in my mind at least) left of centre in stance particularly on subjects such as trans issues, Palestine, immigration, grooming gangs and Trump. It’s not as obvious as Channel 4 news but there’s an underlying bias. I take that bias into account when reading their reports as I would do if I should read right of centre new outlets such as Telegraph, GB news etc.
I don’t think it does the BBC any favours and will alienate their core audience even further (over 60s?) , and as someone who has grownup with the BBC it’s sad to see but we are gradually seeing the demise of the BBC and some of it is definitely self induced.
In time the public will simply refuse to pay the licence fee if they can’t trust the BBC to be impartial.
I mourn what the BBC was , not what it has become.

Another example of a misguided BBC policy![]()
Martine Croxall broke rules over 'pregnant people' facial expression, BBC says - BBC News
The BBC newsreader was reading out a news bulletin about research on groups most at risk in UK heatwaves.www.bbc.co.uk
"Pregnant people" rather than "pregnant women" is so dystopian, black-mirror, 1984-esque levels of mind control that you have to respect the newsreader for not simply following orders and calling it out.Another example of a misguided BBC policy
I will happily admit I refuse to pay my TV license. They have sent me endless letters for the last 2 years saying they will turn up and investigate but as yet, no one has showed up.![]()

If they ever turn up I will just ask them what their views are on covering up for pedophiles.I don't pay it. Good luck to them getting in my block![]()
The arrogance of simply assuming one wants a product unless proven otherwise makes no sense in the modern day economy. If they ever turn up I will just ask them what their views are on covering up for pedophiles.![]()
This isn't the stick to bash the beeb with.Something is wrong , what was something which had values and clarity has gone, all the issues that h as ve happens seem to indicate poor management choices, a lot of people seem to earn huge salaries which are unjustifiable in my eyes, equally the news coverage given to reform is completely out of proportion to the number of MP’s in westminister, they should be reporting the news, and less of creating the agenda in the first place
See, I do pay it, but not because I agree with everything they do, far from it, but I've watched a lot of US news channels and they are wild, they're effectively just broadcast arms for either the Democrat or the Republican parties, it worries me that if we let the BBC move away from public broadcasting, that we will follow that model more closely. That worries me.I will happily admit I refuse to pay my TV license. They have sent me endless letters for the last 2 years saying they will turn up and investigate but as yet, no one has showed up.
HMP Wandsworth?I don't pay it. Good luck to them getting in my block![]()
Nah, they would have released him.HMP Wandsworth?
They never release those of us on the wrongthink wing early!Nah, they would have released him.
I've said this before but the BBC didn't. It was the output of a private company that was commissioned by the BBC. It is probably that the BBC should have spotted this deception and this is what they should be being challenged/criticised for.Why did the BBC feel the need to edit the footage of Trump inciting a riot by making it (ahem) sound like he was inciting a riot?
That’s an extremely difficult question to answer succinctly, and naturally there are differing views across the political spectrum. This article dating from January 2024, which I’ve just come across, might be a useful read.I can't be bothered to look into all of this. Can anyone tell me if Trump did or did not incite the riot?
Give it farage to end of the seasonWould it be easier if we got Trump to appoint the next DG? Perhaps he could present the news too?
To be fair, he is good at bullshitting on telly.Give it farage to end of the season
