Sykes goal - Did he mean it?

Who reckons Sykes meant to score that goal last night? The commentators seemed in no doubt that it was a fluke. I think it's just typical Sky Sports snobbery that League One players are not capable of the odd touch of class. But I'm not so sure - From what I saw he looked up saw that Taylor was covered, and maybe he saw the keeper was off his line, and thought "What the hell, let's give it a go!"

There is one replay which shows him beginning to mouth the wrod "Fu##" after he kicks the ball, so I would suspect not......
