League One Swindon on the brink

He announced his resignation by saying that he's "decided to give it a miss". Give what a miss exactly? Relegation?
He was clearly working with a poor bunch of players, but by most accounts his brand of football was poor too. I've always regarded both ourselves and Swindon as trying to play decent football, whilst being a little lightweight. This season they've been lightweight but without the decent football. I think, with or without a points deduction, that they'll really struggle next season as Power is not going to be interested in anything other than trying to prove he owns the club so he can sell it.

He got rid of the decent players in the January transfer window with 1 winger playing very well for Burton. He also caused a good keeper in Mark Travers to get his club to end his loan very early, even though he was playing every game through, being a dick. The replacements were bar Mark Travers a lot worse.

The only one who he couldn't do anything was the winger to Charlton as they met his release clause.

Can't blame him for Taylor Curran though, it appears his dad is helping fund the club so TC can play at being a footballer so possibly part of the deal. Then Swindon do like including competition winners in their squads.

Tommy Wright to take charge until the end of the season with Peacock as his assistant.

Hope their new manager bounce lasts for one game at least. :)
On 18 April 2021, following the resignation of first-team manager John Sheridan, Wright was placed in charge of the first-team with Swindon sitting bottom of the league, seven points off of safety with four games remaining.

Corruption conviction

Wright was suspended by Barnsley on 28 September 2016 pending investigation into allegations that he had taken a Β£5,000 cash bribe to arrange player's transfers. His criminal trial was held in October 2019, at which he was convicted of soliciting and accepting bribes.

Nice !
