Sweet Caroline has been played during the 8th inning of every Red Sox game since 1997.

After the Boston marathon bombings, Neil Diamond went up to Boston to sing it live during a game, and for the next year donated all of the royalties from the song to the Boston Marathon Fund (until they shut the fund down)

He also turned up this year and sang it again, despite the fact he's got Parkinson's and doesn't perform any more.

In other words, it's 100% a Boston Red Sox song, and Neil Diamond thinks so too.

We should get our own (and so should the English FA for that matter.......)
