Swansea City Ticket Thread - Saturday November 2nd (12.30pm)

Early sales are very strong for this match. More than two weeks out and there are only 790 home seats left, which are distributed:

North Stand 100
East Stand 113
South Stand Upper 142
South Stand Lower 435

By contrast there are currently 1,858 home seats available for the Hull match 3 days later on Tuesday 5th November although it should be noted these only go on general admission sale at 12pm today. These are split North 413, East 261, SS Upper 318 & SS Lower 866.

3pm update on Tuesday and just 398 seats now left for this match, distributed:

North Stand 76
East Stand 74
South Stand Upper 48
South Stand Lower 200

A good result this evening and we will be close to selling out original tickets by the end of the week.

Swansea don't seem to travel that well so unless the fact that this is one of their nearer matches and we haven't played them in a while brings them out this could be one of the few matches where the away team don't sell out, certainly on a Saturday.
They've sold out already.

3 of us in Oxford shirts tried to get in the Swansea Jack back in the 90's. Only 1 got in and the Welsh Bill spotted him at the bar. Arranged for a two horse private escort to the ground else they said he would have been killed.
The good ol days!

Re the Hull match, 5.30pm update on Friday and there are currently 1,335 home seats available, distributed:

North Stand 266
East Stand 163
South Stand Upper 272
South Stand Lower 634

Sales are slow and this will definitely be our first non sell out of the season (not sure whether Derby was technically a sell out - there were 57 original seats still available at kick off but we sold more than that number in exchange seats so as good as a sell out!).

re the Hull game - although its looking like being the lowest league gate of the season so far, it should still be around/over a 10k attendance. It wasn't that long ago when 10k attendances were seen as an achievement, nevermind over 10k attendances ( which the Hull game is likely to be).

Beating Swansea may help though. Frustrating to have a midweek game either side of half term but nit actually during half term.

Yep, I remember starting lots of threads banging the drum in the hope of getting 10k crowds for games much bigger than (with respect) Hull on a cold and dark Tuesday night.

I was pleasantly surprised to see 11,400 against Derby and think we'll still be in or around 11k for Hull even without the club doing any deals to bring others in.

And to think that some numpties in North Oxford were saying that no one carried about live football!

I still think it would be a nice touch for the club to give tickets to local companies for the game, even it is 50 tickets, it all helps to building relationships with the community.

A lot of that already happens, or at least it happened over previous seasons. Just not something that is widely publicised.
