Oh come on, they both start with a T, don't they?So when are the tickets going on sale? Thursday or Tuesday - come on OUFC, great on the pitch at present but needs a kick up the bum off-field. I know it's a pedantic point but......

Tis true.And end with sday
Less happily, our last result at The Stadium of Light at this level was a 7-0 thrashing in 1998, which upset me so much at the time that I burst into tears when I saw the result!
And I used to like Captain Pugwash before I went to Fleetwood...Back then Sunderland would play James Brown's "I feel good" after every goal. I remember listening to the game on Radio Ox and the coverage was basically...
"Sunderland are through on goal, it's pulled back...WOW! I FEEL GOOD
"The corner is inswinging, the balls not cleared...WOW! I FEEL GOOD
"There's space in behind here, can he find a red and white shirt...WOW! I FEEL GOOD
"And he's been dispossessed there, they could be in againWOW! I FEEL GOOD
Still can't listen to that song.
Looks like we've sold just over 800 so far for this one. Should be a similar following to our trip to Ewood Park (also a 3pm kickoff but a lot closer!) I know Sunderland are top of the league but I don't think that's too bad given the distance and the fact we've played them relatively frequently over the last few years.
I'm heading up for the weekend with my 6 year old - going to be a long long train journey but well worth it if we get a result. We usually draw 1-1 which I'd be very happy with. I'm wrong! I'd worked out 800 because I though the seating and standing were both counting down. But on closer inspection the seating is counting down, but the standing is counting up.Blimey, I really hope this isn't repeated. The journey home will feel twice as long, and its long enough already!
My ticket was in the 900's, although I am not sure if this actually has any correlation to the travelling numbers.
That makes sense because you sit down, but you stand upI'm wrong! I'd worked out 800 because I though the seating and standing were both counting down. But on closer inspection the seating is counting down, but the standing is counting up.
Yeah, my uncle's a Sunderland fan and he said the team's mainly a load of kids that are bound to get found out soon. However, if I could describe Sunderland supporters general outlook it would be resigned with a hint of doom. There's always a reason they won't do well (last season it was apparently not having a striker).Didn't even click on the clip, and I've already got Thom Yorke yelling about the raindrops in my head......
......was wondering how Sunderland were top of the league, and taking a look at their team over the weekend and they basically seem to be a couple of experienced CBs and then a bunch of extremely talented kids. Their midfield playmaker only turned 17 in the summer!
Naturally, I now think we should play our biggest, ugliest XI against them and kick them up in the air a lot.
Yep, I remember that 7-0 thrashing. I think 2-0 within 10 minutes or so.Looks like we've sold just over 800 so far for this one.(Correction - I have no idea how many we've sold so far.) The Santa Hat game. And we had beaten them 1-0 at St Andrews a few months earlier. Then a few weeks later managed to concede 7 again v Birmingham at home.
You forgot to mention Windass scored the goal of the game to make it 7-1.................If memory serves me correctly. By this time most of the London Road were across the road in the Standard (Royal Standard to give it the correct title). Wonderful, wonderful days..... despite the results.Yep, I remember that 7-0 thrashing. I think 2-0 within 10 minutes or so.
But then somehow we had two superb home wins v QPR & West Brom.

I stayed in the LRT to the end. I can't remember when we scored, I think we made it 1-5, and started singing 'We're gonna win 6-5'You forgot to mention Windass scored the goal of the game to make it 7-1.................If memory serves me correctly. Nope, we were 7-0 down and scored the last goal of the game. We proper celebrated though. I remember Danny Baker somehow got an audio clip of it and played it repeatedly on 606 saying how amazed he was we cheered so loudly given the circumstances. Slightly brightened up the journey back to London that evening.I stayed in the LRT to the end. I can't remember when we scored, I think we made it 1-5, and started singing 'We're gonna win 6-5'
