Looking at their forum, it appears that the Sunderland game for 9 October will be postponed as it's an international weekend and their match this week was called off. It would be good if the clubs could communicate the likelihood of this being called off before the international squads are announced given the need to plan travel/hotels etc.

One silver lining is it means there should be a bigger crowd at the Mickey Lewis game.

As I've said on the Mickey Lewis thread, I hope that we turn up in our thousands to honour the man. £10 per adult, fiver for kids. 30+ players that are like a who's who of modern day legends, and all proceeds going to his young family.

It would be great if we can fans in all three sides and get the place bouncing.

Noticed that the Ipswich away game also falls on an international weekend. So on the basis that their match at Wycombe was postponed last weekend it looks likely that will also be called off as well.
As much as I’d love to travel to Sunderland and Ipswich, it’s not going to be very practical midweek. According to the club statement on ifollow for this season:
  • If a game is postponed on a Saturday and rescheduled for midweek it is at the discretion of the HOME club whether it is streamed
So a further element to factor into whether matches are available on ifollow or not!

When we are meant to play Sunderland, Ipswich are due to play Shrewsbury.
So with a bit if imagination here if Sunderland and Ipswich are both cancelling there games we could play Shrewsbury at home which is planned for Tuesday evening, 19 Oct. Saturday match much better than Tuesday.

Stop talking such stupid sense! 🤣

Not enough clubs going bust in that argument for the EFL's liking, so no chance

Aren't we paired with Wycombe as two clubs that cannot both have a home game on the same date.....

The problem being that the squads aren't announced until close to the games, so the authorities would argue that there won't be enough time to arrange a fixture change. But it's not unsurmountable should the EFL really want to allow things like this.

That would be great, but I'm not sure Ipswich should have their game postponed when they've got 198 first team players available. :D

Nothing sinister, but the EFL fixture procedures pair up teams that are geographically close to avoid strain on police/ambulance services.

Is it on, is it off?
Per BBC website there are 3 League 1 games postponed on this day due to International call ups. So surely the clubs should know either way.

Cut and pasted from the other thread on this.

I'm not aware of any announcement whether this game has been called off due to international call ups or whether it is going ahead. If the later there are no ticket update.
On BBC website there are already 3 games postponed in League 1
On their site, Sunderland fans are saying it's likely to be called off tomorrow when the younger international squads get announced. They aren't selling any tickets for the fixture to home or away fans which should tell us something.

if their game(s) were called off during the last international call up, its pretty much a given it'll be called off 9 Oct too

That will a long Tuesday if it get rearranged for a Tuesday night that’s a fair bloody journey on the LRC
