Clearout required. Players aged 21+ need to be the ones we focus on. Players who we don’t want to register in our squad on Sept 1st. The likes of James Golding, Josh Johnson, Marselino, Gatlin O’Donkor aren’t a priority for loans till August.

Players 21 & over who definitely need to go in my opinion are:

• Knightbridge - over the age of 21.
• Findlay - no future here.
• Thorniley - no future here.
• Sibley - over the age of 21. (top L1 loan)
• El Mizouni - over the age of 21. (top L1 loan)
• Dale - no future here.
• Goodwin - no future here.

Players who may need to go & many have question marks over:

• Kioso - is he good enough?
• Rodrigues - is he good enough?
• Phillips - is he good enough?
• Mills - possible top L1 loan now he counts toward the cap as he’s 21+
• Negru - over the age of 21. (Loan out to a top L1 side like an Orient similar to Currie)

Players who may need to go however unlikely due to certain situ’s?
• Dembele - club paid £1 million last summer, could we re-coup a major chunk of that?
• Placheta - Activated one year extension, Rowett seems to be a fan?
• Romeny - club record transfer, link to owners?
• Bradshaw - recently signed & links with Rowett at Millwall?

Knightsbridge doesn’t need to be registered this year either, but will next season

Rowett has already said he will be giving players such as Goodwin, Dale, Sibley and El Mizouni a chance to prove themselves in pre season so I wouldn't right all of them off just yet but I think at least 2 out of the 4 wont do enough to change GR's mind.

Mills to be loaned out?! He is more than good enough to play at this level. I think many forget that he re-joined us mid way through a season after a very serious injury which kept him out for the best part of a year.

I wouldn't say Rowett is a massive fan of Placheta, he activated the extra year, not the club. I don't think he would have been here if it wasn't for that.
 
Will it be a busy start to the transfer Market ? 2 or 3 in the first part before it closes ?
 
RR good enough for me and Negru would be a fourth choice/loanee behind Moore, Helik and Brown. If we sign a CB on loan I'd loan him out, but wouldn't be looking to sell regardless.

Mills I'd give a run, certainly in pre-season.
 
I think we need a bit of rotation when games get bunched this season. If I recall, there are some annoying international breaks followed by fixture congestion?…

We have loads to do in order to trim the squad/wage budget. Everyone needs to be fit, resilient and ready to win points.

It will be interesting to see who comes in. If we can perhaps manoeuvre Negru, Thorniley, Findlay, El Miz, Sibley, Ruben, Tyler, Phillips, Dale, Goodwin, GOD, Lino out then that’s tens of thousands of pounds a week.
I would assume there will be a budget increase anyhow, and that’s the 4 or 5 quality additions required to consolidate.

Problem for Mills is that if the club want to bring 2 new wingers in (seems highly likely), then realistically one of Dembele, Placheta or Mills needs to make way… rightly or wrongly Mills feels like the one most likely to be loaned out.

I certainly think we should target a couple of them for loans. A season in the hustle and bustle of the Championship would really bring them on and make men of them.

The brief bits I’ve seen of Ingram he doesn’t look good enough. I’d be after a top class back up who can push Cumming further and challenge him for a place.

Disagree about Mills, he can be a prominent member of our squad this season.
 
Can't seriously see how Negru suddenly becomes part of our back four reserve - need a Nelson like replacement and then we have Longy as a fill in. I'd say Mills would not have decided to rejoin a Lg 1 outfit but what do I know.
 
Understand Nelsons transfer to Chelsea is progressing, however hold ups due to MAnger situation at Leicester.

Also understand he's going back out, Leicester pushing for a sale and loan deal.


Could we come in back door as we seem to have good relationship with Chelsea loan manger

RR is so inconsistent which is infuriating. Against Sunderland on the last day he was pivotal though and has the ability to pick a pass that others don’t.

Why 2 new wingers? Why Mills 1st out I think he's not only lively but also has product and goals and will only get better with a pre season

I would say a center forward is more important than new wingers right now. I can certainly see at least 1 new wide made coming in as well. Rowett has always played with a big hold up type striker which we don't have.

I'm saying maybe what we got needs to improve and also we have a budget and it's how GR uses it. Not we need 2 wingers plus Mills is just back from long time out, he showed lots of flashes and positive stuff so with a pre season he'll hopefully be better
