I have been told than Ledson will be an Oxford united player again shortly.
I’m cautious when it comes to my source however as he’s got no history with me. I’m not usually in the know so if this turns out to be bullshit then sue me.
If this turns out to be true then id like big boy to acknowledge me.

I can't see Ledson meeting the criteria that GR has stated that he'd like to add.

He wants more athletic & powerful players in the squad, and i'm not sure that Ledson fits that profile. I'd probably file that transfer in the highly unlikely.

Hopefully we see a taller more physically dominant CM as well as Matos. Not sure how likely the latter is though.

The QPR game at home shows exactly what we’re missing that night nobody could physically get near Varane for them. Even when he was tackled he’d still bully his way though, looked like men against boys that night.

Erhahon remains the one for me. I think he ticks so many boxes for us. Age, size, resale potential, athleticism, aggressive, composure on the ball, realistic, affordable, good availability record.

Sure there are no shortage of takers but for me he’s a bit of a standout in there being really nothing to dislike while tackling so many of the problems we have in midfield in one player.

A lot of people on here are quick to dismiss Gatlin, he’s not even 21 yet and has played 78 League One games.

Obviously he isn’t ready for the Championship, maybe he never will be, who knows. But he’s certainly a kid with a lot of potential, and it’s a good idea to keep him with us, on loan somewhere and developing. Even if he never makes it as a regular for us, I’m sure we could fetch a decent bit of money for him at some point regardless. I’m glad he is staying.

New long term deal for Gatlin too
Offered, but not signed at this stage.

Interesting that we specifically mention that we have 'offered' something to him, but do not talk about offering any other senior players anything (eg. Mark Harris). There must surely be a few that we have made offers to, right? Brown? Shemmy (as also only has a 1-year extension)?

Spot on. He is one good loan at any level away from being worth alot of money.

Would personally like to see him at a more competitive club (unlike this season!), at League 2 level, to see how he gets on then.

Thought the wording on Placheta was interesting, maybe he would have been one we weren't too bothered about keeping but he obviously had an option that he could trigger.
Gut feeling is that if we had the option, he’d be going. Not because he’s terrible (although my personal view is he isn’t great) but because we could do with that extra slot in the squad to be filled with someone better.

We’re now quite heavy on wingers that don’t really cut it in the cold light of day - Placheta, Phillips, Dembele and Mills while also facing the prospect of losing Goodrham. We’re up s**t creek a bit when it comes to revamping that area of the team unless we can offload which is why I think Mills will end up out on loan as the easiest squad space to create.

Placheta renewing is what anybody else would do to protect himself, but I highly doubt we’d stand in the way of an exit if someone offers. Ditto Phillips and Dembele.

You need to give Stan a chance . Shemmy and Dembele are frustrating but Phillips is in a different category - he really isn’t going to offer us anything as an attacker

Think you might be right here on Mills. It’s probably best for him from a development perspective, best for the club in creating an extra space and whoever he goes to (presumably one of the bigger L1 clubs) benefits from getting a good player.

I do think Dembele will benefit from some proper attacking structure next season. Not sure we’ve seen anything like the best of him yet.
