Worse signing than Jamie Hanson?
Ray Gaston springs to mind.....Worst ever OUFC signing?
Emanuel Diaz?Ray Gaston springs to mind.....
"and/or a fee to secure the signing now" - they don't need to, it is an "international" deal, so its in the terms of the Bosman deal re signing a pre-contract in January ahead of contract expiring in June. But we don't know what deal has been done. It might be that Hearts have agreed to pay all his wages for the rest of this season and/or a fee to secure the signing now. It might be that we have agreed to continue paying the % of wages we do now and will receive no fee.
The point is no-one on this forum knows yet people are berating the club.
He was actually superb in that game prior to that mistake. I remember watching thinking we had a proper player on our hands.I think his downfall started in his first competitive game for the I’s away to Derby and him giving the ball away and then they score and we lose….. which spoilt the nice hotdog i had eaten earlier.
Hearts have pulled our pants down here.Findlay probably has been offered a contract by Hearts over the course of the last 18 months but he is obviously getting paid more by us.I imagine we are paying the biggest chunk on the deal as well
Why wait until the summer they could have him on a permanent basis now?
I have thought for some time we are not tough enough with clubs when it comes to loans
International rules must apply here via Bosman. Findlay has the right to sign with another club internationally and not domestically 6 months before the end of his contract - which he’s done as Scotland I believe doesn’t count as a domestic club. If it was another English club they’d have a month before expiry to do deal.Hearts have pulled our pants down here.Findlay probably has been offered a contract by Hearts over the course of the last 18 months but he is obviously getting paid more by us.I imagine we are paying the biggest chunk on the deal as well

Ultimately - we’ve been foolish here not demanding perm deal for him last summer. Hearts and Findlay have been clever. We could recall him and add him to squad though… highly doubt we’ll bother. No club is going to want to loan a player that is joining another club in the summer, no point and high risk/no return. Truly awful business from us.
Prefer Queens ParkHearts are an Ace Club, they Jacked us off for a Diamond, but he was shite for us - you have to call a Spade a Spade but he'll get Knighted if they become Kings of the SPL.
Exactly. Which is why we should recall him. They've shown their hand - they want him now and for the foreseeable. They just don't want to pay.
We finally have leverage due to Hearts having a great season and Findlay being integral to it. They don't want to lose him. He won't want to miss the next few months for them.
Recall him. Circulate his name to the other SPL clubs.
"Sorry lads, Hibs are willing to pay all his wages til the end of the season. Now f*ck off".
Yep. Just wondering if clubs can even make a profit on players by renting them out? If not then perhaps they should. For the third time in this thread, how do you know that we haven't?
Not every negotiation is played out in public. I don't know whether the club have played the hardest of hard balls or have rolled over and had their tummies tickled. Unless someone ITK has any inkling of what we are contributing to his salary up at Hearts, none of us plebs will ever know.
Stop getting so wound up by scenarios you have made up in your head.

Hold onLove all of the speculation on here.
I don’t think anyone has a clue what the terms of the loan are.
For all we know hearts are paying his wage in full.
Asking to bring him back is unprofessional, and looks like the kid who is loosing a football match picking up the ball and going home with it.
We’ve done a bad bit in f business. We need to learn from it and try not to repeat it.
Pretty sure I heard he has already agreed to join Hearts in the summer
Yes, he has. I was taking the p**s out of the cyclical nature of this thread. There is no way he is being recalled.Pretty sure I heard he has already agreed to join Hearts in the summer
