early kick-off 12:30 25 January
Initial allocation 1816 and prices £20 for adults.

I’m just going to put this out here now as they aren’t on sale yet. FYI @Paul P for OxVox & @Scotchegg for OUSP.

The away allocation at Stoke can be up to 3,391.

Just putting that out there due to what happened at Elland Road.

hopefully the club are across it correctly this time as I’ll be amazed if we don’t sell out the initial 1800.

Without scratching old wounds, the significant difference between Leeds and any other game was the fact that Leeds expected us to pay for unused tickets.

I stand by what I said at the time that we should have taken the risk and marketed the game to get them all sold, but that didn't happen.

But I don't expect to be in the same situation again, and would hope that we sell the initial 1800 and get further allocations as required.

We will of course be watching this closely to avoid a repeat of what happened before.

I saw on social media over New Year that the same happened when Blackburn went to Elland Road on New Years Day.
They had also decided not to pay for the full allocation, so only took the top tier with away attendance 1972.

Preston attendance may give a clue to Stoke interest.

Preston 180 miles.
Stoke 120 miles.

Preston has fallen at a horrible time too off the back of Millwall away. Still think/would hope we’ll see 1k to 1.5k away fans there tomorrow.

It was between Preston tomorrow or Stoke in a few weeks. Even though Stoke is cheaper, it is a horrible away day with the ground being just off a dual carriage and very little around it so I opted for Preston.

I still expect us to take 1000-1200 to Stoke.

The data suggests we won't sell 3391 tickets so I believe the allocation is reflective of where we are in real sales .
We only sold 1500 for Millwall on new years day & Preston could be a smaller following .
5 away games in January is always a big ask financially.

What do you mean, only!

Early kick-off and on New Year’s Day, plus travel/weather issues.

I actually thought it was a good turnout.

I think we’ll sell the initial allocation of 1816 at least, and wouldn’t be surprised if we went on to sell 2k+

Has the 1500 number been confirmed anywhere .

Up The Manor, you are spot on that we won't sell 3391 tickets - but we will still sell well over 2000 as its a ground many haven't been too and our form to date has dramatically improved.

Regarding your comments on the Millwall away match, if I remember the previous NYD (2024), we only took just over a 1k to another London club (Charlton) because of it being NYD and aided and abetted on the day with rail travel problems etc etc, so to take 1.5K+ to Millwall on the same bank holiday again this year, backed with the sh*te weather expected I do believe this was a decent effort - less the plenty of others who were well hidden behind the sofa on the day lol.

Onto Preston - this again should have been a great deal more but once again with the weather forecast of expected snow on the way back this unfortunately, took its toll on the ground collectors, and many on the dayers payers.

With reflection, on a much fairer weather day another 300 to 400 would have easily travelled to Lancashire - but in this day and age many fans take interest in the clever satellite weather forecasts we have at our 24 hr fingertips disposal to make the yes or no decisions much more easily.

With Stoke, I agree it is not the most appetising with a ground on the outskirts of the city (like ours) but with it a tick off for many and with our season average probably around the 1650 mark atm this day should see (if the weather is kind) the first amount of tickets cleaned out and I hope Lee 😉 you will see the data to support in maybe 'asking for more'. (Charles Dickens circa 1837 - 1839).

COYY'S.

£20 is such good value but actual cost is £24 as £2 postage and £2 booking fee which is 20%. Football needs to maximise revenue so why doesn't the EFL and PL create their own platform rather than give Ticketmaster easy money. Plus fans should not need to pay £2 postage it's 2024 FFS.
