I don’t think you can label Ramsey, yes this is his first real crack at management but like with us customers fans we’ve been lied to time and again maybe he was as well.
I also believe Ramsey knows what he is up against but want ms the challenge

And to put it at Ramsey's door is just bizarre. The situation the club is in would test the mettle of even the most experienced manager. For someone in their first job, he's doing much better than he could be.

It could also be counter-productive to say Stan is subject to a bid or whatever, as that could sour things if - as Ramsey hopes - he ends up staying.

There's little that's so simply black and white, and I'm sure this isn't quite so simple as you're making out.

What many forget is Ramsey don’t need the job , he could walk into a position with a more stable club tomorrow albeit with little experience of management.
Of course unless there is a buyer/consortium that has stipulated he be installed as manager for part of the sale . Of course all speculation however the way things are going I don’t rule out anything, what would make me much happier is if Erik got us out of the embargo like yesterday it would give us all a lift and confidence that the club is safe in his hands !

If that’s the case and he doesn’t want to be, you sell and get as much as you can as if we don’t go up he’s going for less next season with a year less on his contract.

Think most will wait, 12 months on he’s worth much less to us with his contract running down, so unless we get promoted we have an asset that’s depreciated in value.
 
All of these arguments have validity but we’re in special circumstances. Probably the ideal would be for us to keep Stan till January when we will hopefully be able to sell him and replace him.

I think breaches of contract for footballers is club fines and seek assistance with the Professional Players Union.
Oufc can not just stop paying their wages.

Reckon we are well within our rights to say that you cant go unless you put in a transfer request ( as we seriously don't want you to go?)

Maybe just maybe the clubs thought a deal was being agreed, so Stan trains alone. If he’s going you don’t want to jeopardise the deal by a silly injury in training. Late last week the clubs can’t agree a price and Ramsey has told us now next week Stan trains with us, he obviously wasn’t in th plans for the Orient game.
Nothing abnormal about that, Stan will be training and part of the squad next week

I’m starting to think this is the most likely scenario.
Sadly we’re going to have to wait to find out for a few months, once the final appeal has been rejected for the new ground things could become clearer.

Knuckle down, blitz 6 months and draw a proper offer from a decent club.

Wasting effort and energy over a Preston move.

They can’t afford him and he can do better.

Then all they have to do is fine him his total wages. Breach of contract is breach of contract and effectively it becomes null and void

In which case he leaves as a free agent and we won't get anything for him

It's not the case for a professional footballer, and we wouldn't want to terminate the contract.
Fines are possible, but an absolute last resort.
We don't know the circumstances, we are all adding 2 + 2 to make a number between 3 and 13.
I trust AR to make the right calls as the outcome he(we, the club) needs is either the player back in the team and performing or sold at an acceptable price (ours). Players suspended, bomb squad, fined, etc helps no-one.
So lets see what happens.
Both players still here next week and playing, excellent news.
Both players sold at the right price, sad but understandable.
Both players still here and not playing three weeks into the season, very bad news
 
The funny thing about a player refusing to play to force a move - and I’m not suggesting this is going on here - is that doing so decreases his value, widening the spread between the selling club’s valuation and that of buyers, and so making a move less likely.
 
Seems like PNE are chasing about perm any one from four potentials. It surprises me that it's only them who have made contact if it is it's definitely worth upping your numbers to get a more prestigious move.
