As absolutely no one knows what it would take to get us out of this embargo
What if
The fee and the wages for stan does indeed take us down below the 65% and we waiting for efl to make sure and then to to give clearance so we can set up a replacement

To be even clearer - no-one is saying it's a good thing. And it is certainly extremely negative if we lose Mills plus a couple more.

My point, quite obviously, was that if (big if) we do keep the band together then that is preferable to adding what you might like to think of as 'bargain bucket' signings in order to replace proven Championship likely outgoings.

We started the summer with a really strong League One squad. We all wanted to improve it further. But (as you of all people should appreciate) there is every chance, with full trading allowed, of making it worse.

A band i was involved with at the time.
Played The Venue (by the bus station) along with a band called Bikini Black Special if i remember correctly

IF we keep Mills and BdK I think there’s a pretty good chance that we start the season with a stronger side than if we’d had a ‘normal’ transfer window…

One minute you're calling all our signings 'bargain bucket', the next you're saying our pre season is worse than last because we haven't signed anyone.

There's a reason nobody takes you seriously.
 
Just watched the Cam Bran interview and he says how much the players are behind Aaron Ramsey and can’t wait to get out there. Now I can’t say for BDK because he hasn’t featured but just look at the goals we score against Ipswich
Currie gets on their end of a cross and puts the ball away about 4/5 players come over and congratulate him. Mills scores the second and I think one player ambles over.
Now these players will know exactly what is going on and the huge majority will stay and fight.Mills is obviously bucking that trend and I have a feeling that Stan needs to choose what he wants to do quickly or he will alienate the group and bridges will be burnt if he’s not careful. Seems the the same with BDK but we only have rumours about him not wanting to play, but he chose to have that operation last year when we know others would have played on.

BDK had that operation due to the medical advice given to him and the long term risks he faced if he didn’t have it, that along with the pain then I think most players would have had the op.
As for ‘not wanting to play’, not once this summer has he refused to play or ‘downed tools’.

I thought the embargo was in place because we had not provided proof that we had the readies to cover our proposed budget rather than for exceeding the allowable spend.

That implies that the club have drawn up and submitted figures that are below that redline 65% figure - would certainly fit with the "we don't need to sell anyone" noise.

Which part of the story?
I saw BDK after most home games, he would meet up with family and friends in the bar, and he did not look very happy. If the shoulder injury was as bad as described and he was risking his future, not just as a player but all round, then he was wise to call a halt and have the operation. I've had a shoulder operation myself to repair a rotator cuff injury. It is not pleasant despite not being major surgery. By all accounts, he had a bad dislocation and the risk of repetition. Reason enough to have an op to restore equilibrium.
The style of football under Rowett, and to an extent, Bloomfield, was barely utilising his skills hence why he was so often seen watching balls going over his head.
I certainly don't agree that he "downed tolls" but he would certainly have been dispirited by the prevailing tactics.

No Willy waving at all, I posted that BDK isn’t unhappy and hasn’t ’downed tools’. I’m not really bothered if people believe that or not, I just don’t agree that a player’s reputation gets tarnished by false accusations.
