Agree, we can't sign a replacement so there should be a premium for that.
Why Preston though? He'll spend his time there finishing between 9th and 13th. A boring club.
I would hope so, at least for a couple of years. I had aspirations for us finishing one or two places above the relegation zone last season. Ending the season in the top 10....pure heaven (for a while). Is that what we aspire to?
You f*cker! Is he still here ?
Come on how many of you had palpitations when you saw that thread pop up![]()
We should put a clause in. If PNE avoid relegation we can extra dosh. If they get promoted we get mega dosh. Plus an extra 50k every time he scores.
Get smarter.
I like the idea of a club giving us money even if they haven’t signed one of our players. We should put a clause in. If PNE avoid relegation we can extra dosh. If they get promoted we get mega dosh. Plus an extra 50k every time he scores.

So I believe mills is influenced by his dad.
His dad seems .a .reasonable seasoned pro.
It would surprise me for his dad to say give it till Jan or a season. Tear up L1 and either play for ox in championship or get a big move.
Mills is back from big injuries and still has a lot to prove, hopefully Ramsey got in his ear and said he's not come here to play L1 footie, and also said under his style he'll get mins to tear up the league..
Also mills will have seen what a full season at us did for Lanks
H
In fairness, half of those were when he was being sent out on loan because he couldn't get in to the first team.Danny Mills had eight or nine clubs so if he’s got an influence - which of course he will have - then he ain’t sticking around.
Burgzorg from Boro, but he’s a left winger. I’ve been told he and Mills are still likely, Campbell not so much now. Seems like it’s negotiating the fee that’s the hold-up. Again, I’m very much hoping he stays of course!Apparently Preston have signed a winger/forward from Middlesborough for £2m which might curtail their interest.
On the other hand do you have a disgruntled player on your books if you refuse to let him go ?If you listen to the Danny Mills episode on the Undr the Cosh podcast you’ll see he chased every last penny he could get his hands on.
Hopefully the club will stand firm and PNE will look elsewhere
Yeah, completely get that could happen too, but he comes across as a decent guy (unlike his dad during his playing career). On the other hand do you have a disgruntled player on your books if you refuse to let him go ?
Can’t remember who it was but in this situation a few years back a player who was Newcastle was left to play in the reserves
From the outside we have no idea what is going on. Whether Stan is happy or desperate to move on, whether the club are fending off bids or actively looking to sell assets. Only time will tell.Yeah, completely get that could happen too, but he comes across as a decent guy (unlike his dad during his playing career).
I’m sure he appreciates we took a chance on him after a long injury and the fact we can’t replace him if he goes. I just hope he gives us a chance and goes and gets 10 attacking returns before January and then we go from there.
I also think anyone in his situation would rather be playing in the Championship, regardless of the team over staying at a bit of a wildcard league one club.
(Not confident he stays but fingers crossed)
Yes. Roll contract out to every Championship and Premier Club just in case. Just send them all an invoice, see if the accountants are on the ball.I like the idea of a club giving us money even if they haven’t signed one of our players.
He has the opportunity to learn from a first team coach who has played at a very high level along with newly established professional coaching staff.Yeah, completely get that could happen too, but he comes across as a decent guy (unlike his dad during his playing career).

Sounds familiar...
Why is Brian Wilsterman getting involved?
Ah not Ben Woodburn then? Vested interest in both clubsWhy is Brian Wilsterman getting involved?
Oh to be a club where "shitshow behind the scenes" means a wobbly August, before settling in to a solid Championship 14th for the remaining 8 months of the season...
