I think the whole team are, having a settled team to start with makes a hell of a difference
Probably is going to be our most desirable asset come the summer transfer window.Total athlete.
He’s got that Championship-level pace and athleticism that’s needed to compete at this level. His touch is good and his crossing - either static or on the run - is dangerous.
He starts every game if fit.
I have been critical of him in the past. He is really developing well. Still think there is more to come in terms of development and he needs a bit more to his game than just pace. However, it says a lot about him and MPH that nobody is clamouring for any of our other new (or existing) wingers to start which is always a good sign...Probably is going to be our most desirable asset come the summer transfer window.

And he's also part werewolf. It's interesting actually. Last night I realised that he's actually playing wing back out of possession. He drops right back, and Long goes to a central (rcb) position. Impressive from Mills, as when we attack he feels like an out-and-out winger, He's got some engine to get up and down so much.
This is a fair enough point. I really meant when it comes to beating a player, he needs a bit more guile sometimes than just trying to use his pace to knock it past them. You are absolutely right on his wider game..There already is more to his game than just pace. If you haven’t been able to see that this season then I’m not sure you’ve been watching him properly.
He can cross, cut in and shoot, head the ball and finish. His defensive play last night was superb and he has shown glimpses of this before.

I’d still put Cumming in goal myself, Cam might struggle to claim crosses. With Cam showing his best lately He and Mills should be first names on the team sheet
Mills form lately has been excellent

Fair point. A bit of a goalkeepers union point but I would say that, after coming for a cross that he had absolutely no business going for, he did at least commit to it. Which we certainly always used to be told to do. Once you’ve made the mistake, better to disrupt the player who wins the ball than be caught in no man’s land doing nothing. Most importantly, we got away with it.Did you see Cummings attempt at claiming a cross last night?
Cumming makes the odd mistake but he has won us far more points than he has lost us. I think he generally a very good keeper.Fair point. I was glad I couldn’t really see what was happening but it was a bad series of momentsFair point. As a (former) member of the Goalkeepers Union, completely agree. He possibly should have punched, but no matter. He is an excellent keeper- our best since Phil Whitehead in the mid 90's.Fair point. Agree. The fact he is not perfect is a good thing as he would be gone to a bigger club.As a (former) member of the Goalkeepers Union, completely agree. He possibly should have punched, but no matter. He is an excellent keeper- our best since Phil Whitehead in the mid 90's.

I might be totally wrong but Hackett if I remember rightly had a lot of pace and was very quite dangerous but what I thought actually stopped him being as valuable as dean whitehead at the time was his ability to passMaybe working with Hackett?
Dynamo and productive with the ball , his crosses are now dangerous
Totally disagreeProbably is going to be our most desirable asset come the summer transfer window.
As a probable much older former goalie I don't understand why goalies punch 99% of the time when it's safer to catch and then your team has control of the ball anyways...As a (former) member of the Goalkeepers Union, completely agree. He was struggling under Rowett a bit in terms of consistency...On the dub was said that Rowett was considering loaning out Mills to a League 1 team in January! Un f-ing believable!
And did the critics note his distribution compared with the Rovers keeperAnd he recovered to make a good save from the same attack getting back to the line quickly.
Which is a kind of chicken and egg thing - get a run of games but plus coaching to improve your abilitiesHe was struggling under Rowett a bit in terms of consistency...
Wingers generally do. But all season he has looked dangerous and an asset. It would have been very obviously poor judgement to loan him out.He was struggling under Rowett a bit in terms of consistency...
I think for most of the season, most players struggled to perform well twice in a row hence why we have only just won more than one game in a row. Mills was no different and had chances but until now was not performing consistently.Which is a kind of chicken and egg thing - get a run of games but plus coaching to improve your abilities
I disagree. I think for a large part of the season he struggled with aspects of his game at times. Things just did not click for him under Rowett consistently. It happens. If Rowett had stayed, this may have stayed the case so loaning him out may have been the best thing at the time.Wingers generally do. But all season he has looked dangerous and an asset. It would have been very obviously poor judgement to loan him out.
Very good again yesterday! Murphy aside, the best winger we’ve had in the last few years? Great engine, pace, and puts in a great cross.
Hopefully we keep him next season regardless of which league we are in
I reckon that clubs will be making offers for Mills next season.Very good again yesterday! Murphy aside, the best winger we’ve had in the last few years? Great engine, pace, and puts in a great cross.
