Yep, but stan has already had one big injury. Football careers are short so I don’t really blame any of them for chasing the bag.
 
If he goes good ,I hope we've negotiated more and the EFL give us a light at the end of the tunnel so we can get someone in ,we need players like Lanks that loved the the club not the false Badge kissers like BDK ,let MrMills get his way for his son and lets hope Karma does its job and Preston take a plunge and with it Stans wages. We know theres no loyalty especially for us top 60 clubs. We need our luck to change 🙏 so if hes gone hes gone.
 
If Stan does go this window, I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing from a football point of view. Carrying an unhappy player with a bad attitude for half a season - even if he's talented - won't help us rack up the points. And it'll open up more opportunities for the kids to shine.

It will still p**s me off though as I really hate this player power kick where anyone can just throw a strop to get the move they want at any time, whatever the contract they've signed states. And I have an irrational desire for us to stick two fingers up to Stan & Danny just because.

I guess I'll just have to root for Atletico to hold the line against Barcelona on Alvarez instead.......
 
I will be sorry to see Stan leave, but in truth I don’t think I hold him in such high regards as others do on here.

I think his loss is harder to take due to our embargo rather than the loss of the player himself and our inability to sign a replacement. His potential is undoubtedly there though.

I think he would’ve done well in League 1, but I don’t quite understand why the Preston fans are creaming their knickers about his potential signing as if he is the key to their survival. Preston are quite a poor team, and I fully expect to see them struggling to avoid relegation this season. He was decidedly average in a good proportion of the games I watched last season. Some examples off the top of my head being away at Wrexham (subbed off at H/T), away at Swansea (subbed on 76 after a very poor game), away at Leicester (subbed on 68mins after offering little and replaced by BDK who grabbed himself an assist), away at WBA (where he came on with 15 to go and hardly had a touch). Even away at Preston, he grabbed an assist but it was a scuffed shot rather than an assist.

The fact that Preston are the only Champ team really pushing to sign him, then for me, that says an awful lot. I don’t want to appear in any way bitter that he may be off, as I am not. I’m not far off 50yrs old and have far better things to focus my time on.

I am of the view that if we can get good money for him and potentially replace him, which I am hoping we may be able to, then let him go with our best wishes.

I was quite looking forward to a boring, predictable end to the transfer window. Oh well.

If Stan does go I'll be more disappointed that we've not stuck to our guns than that he's actually gone.

Can only presume that this, Leigh potentially on the move, and the links to this young Welsh lad mean that we've been given the nod to replace anyone who does leave?

I dont sorry but he's under contract, a contract he was happy to sign when coming back from injury and no one Inc Preston wanted to give him a chance! We DID!!!

It's simple he's under contract so if PNE offer a sack of cash that the clubs happy with.and he's happy with wages he goes if not no!

Look at it like this should he not be paid or paid at 40% if injured- NO of course no so he just needs to suck it up and bring the house down so larger clubs say HELLO!!!

SIMPLES really.......
 
Stan needs to move on now, I don't know what the changing room vibes are like but it must be disruptive - unsettleing for the player, the team and management.

With Mills snr, playing the Grima Wormtongue roll, it must be quite difficult for the young lad to know where he is mentally. Best for a clean break.

He was much better than that he got the Sky MOTM at Preston and that was where their pursuit of him started.

Totally agree, he’s a textbook narcissist.
He belittles, gaslights, bullies, plays victim to get sympathy when he’s found out. It turns my stomach. I have him on silent, but it’s hard to ignore when others are responding to his posts.
