It does matter if you are falsely going to blame the EU.

As the legislator, they could just not do it or debate it, etc, So very much to blame!

Perhaps your mate should just fit a legal exhaust and be done then...

Had them in Germany for years I believe... Think cars are limited to 156mph...

My last car had a top speed of 205 mph !
156mph is a voluntary top speed cap NOT the same as ISA ( Intelligent speed assistance).
ISA will use GPS and /or on board cameras to restrict you to the local speed limit .
This is already standard on the 2019 Ford Focus-But can be deactivated .
Going forward it is also proposed to install “blackbox” technology which will record any attempt to deactivate.

Our authorities could have not pushed for it as well.
