I agree but also doesn't Ron Martin own Roots Hall? If so then they may have to find a new home.At this point reforming under a new name is looking to be the only option. As it was recently given city status maybe Southend City FC.
And now it's getting very weird:Things not looking great for Scunthorpe either.
What a fab little ground. The people who live in these two houses are the complete opposite of the NIMBYs worrying about OUFC being 2 miles away from them...

Well, certainly nobody in Kidlington would have to worry about their glass conservatory being in the firing line! What a fab little ground. The people who live in these two houses are the complete opposite of the NIMBYs worrying about OUFC being 2 miles away from them...

‘Ryan Reynolds never had to deal with this’: the slow death and (possible) rebirth of Southend United
The long read: In 20 years, this Essex club has tumbled down the leagues and seen its ground fall apart. Is a revival finally coming – or will hopes be dashed again?www.theguardian.com
A fascinating read.

Just wait until the Friends of Wrexham's Victoria Gardens Pond hear about that!Speaking of Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham. They are getting rather optimistic with ground plans of a capacity of upto 55k....

Yes I did use Google Maps
I would usually agree but the fans haven’t just sat back like other clubs do while they cheat the system, they have continued to protest and tried to get the owner out for a very long time now.Disagree. Sarfend have been cheating the system and getting a competitive advantage for many years, failing to pay their taxes when rivals do. They are the epitome of an unsustainable club, just like Stoke and Everton are higher up the leagues. By staying afloat through repeated failed promises made in the courts, they’ve managed to attract players beyond their reach, and they are blocking a valuable place in the NL which a team lower down but better run could take. There are only so many failed promises and half-truths you can tell the court, and I hope the taxman winds them up.
I think their fans know all this.
Right, I hope we don’t end up in that situation. Would you say the same thing then?Sadly, there comes a time when you have to take a struggling dog on a one-way trip to the vet. Their time has long since come.
If the fans had realised that their protests meant little, they could’ve changed strategies: boycotted the club, started a supporters’ takeover etc, but the situation is too far gone for that I feel.
For the fairness and integrity of the game as a whole, they really need to be closed down before the new season starts.
Were you a fan when we had buckets outside the away end asking for other fans to donate so we could survive?Sadly, there comes a time when you have to take a struggling dog on a one-way trip to the vet. Their time has long since come.
