So who should we approach or Interview ?

Let’s face it, no one has got a f*****g clue what the hell is going on! Wish someone did and like everyone, I’ve seemingly endlessly refreshing this bloody thread in the hope of something actually happening! God when will it change!!!

I envisage a further minimum 40 pages more when an appointment is made, will that be a record?

RO this morning said they’re not aware of any imminent appointment. Which goes along with Faz saying after Saturdays game that he’s in regular contact with DE and has had no indication from him that he isn’t to remain in the job.

So why not just announce him as the new manager?? Is DE waiting for him to win a couple of games to reduce any dissatisfaction from the fan base?

well he/the board did say faz would be in charge until Plymouth and if that was some kind of trial or desperate hope of improvement it never worked..it does seem bizarre that the players are seeing the same faces being drilled in the same methods come training if a number/few applicants are sat in the wings..

But clearly DE wants an unrealistic price. Just as Kassam does.
That's what we don't know. Could it be a case of where the debt goes and who owns it being the stumbling block? Or someone not having the cash now wanting to spread payments?

IMHO, I don't think Tiger is a credible owner at the moment. Any takeover should not take this long for a club at L1 level. And they can't buy the stadium without the RTB kicking in.

Maybe we’ll all be in for a surprise in the next couple of days with an announcement but there’s no indication it’ll happen. The local media aren’t even getting a hint of anything, they’re just floundering and reporting on the latest odds and know no more than us. Either DE is an expert on the covert and clandestine and has succeeded on obtaining a complete news blackout or, more worryingly, there’s nothing going on in the way of shortlist’s and interviews etc.

I can’t see DE letting this situation drag on for as long as it has if there was any hint that the bidders didn’t have the cash

If they had the cash, they'd own the club. 5 months is a long, long time to get the money together isn't it?

Confirmed my thoughts. There is nothing going on. Drifting. Rudderless. What a mess.

I’m starting to think you might have called it right GUK. It is starting to look like a new manager appointment is linked to new investment/takeover. And if the latest rumours circulating, that these latest bidders are all ‘lace curtains and no knickers’, are true, we really could be screwed..

Of course, there could be another party involved who hasn't been at games...
Perhaps it’s all in coins and it’s taking a while to count.
Or old £10 notes. At least then we'd know the deal would be done soon!

Or could be more complex issues that have arisen since the bid has been accepted, like the decrease in value in the squad, or what percentage de continues to pay in or be involved or if the fee will reduce if we were to end up in a lower league next season. Or maybe like js they are also in talks with Kassam about a renegotiation if lease that unlike de and il they want sorted before they become involved. It’s easy to say it’s taking to long, but when a simple house purchase can take 6-8 weeks it’s not really that surprising. It’s the keeping silent in the mean time that is more the issue

Sorry Dave but all of the things you have mentioned should have been put to bed before we even knew Tiger was on the scene. You don't very publicly announce yourself to the fans before you've even sorted some basic details of the purchase. This takeover/investment is lurching into farce territory very quickly. How much confidence can it give people going forward if this is the way the deal is being done.

To take it back to your favoured house sale analogy, you don't have an offer accepted on a house then throw a house warming party there before you have even sorted a mortgage, let alone exchanged on it.

No quite. But apart from him being seen at games and speculation we don’t know he’s been on the scene. Ur probably right, but I just feel we don’t know how long ago a bid was even made or accepted, all the games he’s been at he might have only made a full bid a few weeks ago for all we know. And if it was a while ago a lot has changed, some of the value has been taken out of the business. And again he wouldn’t be in a position to start talks with firoz until he had agreed things with Darryl. If it comes out that the delay has been because he’s done two deals then I think that’s more than worth the wait, as the last two owner have tried it the other way round thinking they can sort it later and we all know how that ended

surely though if the stadium owner wont sell to an individual there is little point talking to him, even a consortium bid has to be led by someone so that is likely always be the owners stance...If potential owners are merely looking to continue with a lease then that man will forever control us or prevent us from progression so we may as well be looking elsewhere or frankly just accept we will end up like many mid table prem clubs only in our case unable to afford to go up.

Wrong thread perhaps but....Whatever happened to Kashams stated 'sell to the council' plot of last year?

No because by all accounts that is what sartori would have done as well, and something Oxvox have looked at. Secure a better lease, where we have full running and the ability to better use the stadium. That’s the short term the much better, with that u can then look at other options

But Dave how long is left on the lease? other options can and should be looked at whilst that lease is running down without the need to sign up to another one?
The numbers going forward make no sense and even when entertaining football was the norm the crowds had little significant change..Owners over the years have taken the fan base for granted and largely done diddly squit to try and attract new customers...The leisure pound is getting less and football among other events are not cheap and it is a very short term view to keep extracting monies from your current customers.Where are the much needed new generation of fans? Most kids are stuck on computer games tablets and the like whilst their parents have their faces glued to their phones on social media etc reading what their mates had for breakfast.
