Simon Grayson

I would expect it. The team has players who should deliver. The new, youthful players brought in should be able to deliver their part towards a rejuvenated team. I am of the belief that clothead tactically got things wrong. He brought in players with no pace. That pace is, potentially, back. Given that Chrissie Allen has more influence alongside Faz we should expect better performances. We are not going to get promoted this season but at least we should be able to expect some decent entertainment?

And why shouldn't the club play hard ball with managers? Why should we allow them to dictate? You want a job? Show us that you have what we want. Why go cap in hand to every Tom Dick and Harry?

It's hardly cap in hand is it?? Offering them a reasonable length contract to be able to implement some of their ideas. Offer perspective managers to the end of the season and you can wipe 95% of the names from the list doing the rounds at the moment. And what if one does take up the contract, does great things with us and gets us to the play offs or there about and then gets offered a better job and walks for nothing??

I was told a while back that DE wanted Grayson. He was number one choice over everyone else. I can see why he’d want him. It’s the best appointment we could make right now. So you have to strike while the iron is hot. These lge one specialists/Championship managers don’t stay out of work long. His record in this division speaks for itself.

If he comes then brilliant job by DE and the board. If he doesn’t I will still support whoever gets the job.

With you on that @Leysboy .... unless Ince gets the job!

I really believe the Chairman should give the job to Faz until the season's end. I do not like it myself----it would be nice to have a new face and new broom as they say. Something to give the fans a lift. However, Faz and Chrissie surely know the players who are simply not up to it....As I say, I am not in favour of it , but it may be the best option in the end. Lets just get over the finishing line. And I do not mean promotion!

Said it before but if Ince is the answer can somebody come up with a different question.

Just can't see him ever being a success as a manager

Ince is part of the early years of the premiership players crowd, who think because they were big names as players they should walk into any job going. See also - Tony Adams and Teddy Sheringham.

Why is he out of work ?

To be a little fair, Ince started his career brilliantly. The Job he did at Macc was incredible, then got MK dons promoted and won at Wembley. Did poor at Blackpool and Notts county. But a certain Mr Appleton had a horror show prior to us.

Im not saying hes the answer but i dont think hes quite in the Utter dross category.

For me, its still all about Cowley with Grayson a close second.

I believe it will be Faz in reality.

Look at who he managed! You might get the answer.

A big club, but a poisoned chalice. Even Coleman is struggling. You put the best managers in the world there, in the exact situation they would all struggle.
No point anybody going there then.

Involved with the inbreds , so Ince , for me is an absolute NO

Because they are a basket case. And maybe it was above his level , so what. You appoint the best manager for the job in hand, to get us out the conference that was wilder. To get us out of this league, u name me someone who has done it more often that’s available ?
Wilder got us up through the back door, hardly a ringing endorsement.

Appleton didn’t get us up top , so what

He did what he had to do. It wasn’t attractive or pleasing on the eye, but it worked! I dislike the man, he made some very negative comments about us fans in Woodstock. It was with us he learnt finally how to be a football league manager. The man will never admit that, because he’s a very stubborn Yorkshireman.

You can’t deny he’s become very successful finally.

Anyway the five people I’d be talking too if I were DE

Simon Grayson
Mark Warburton
Danny/Nicky Cowley (because they come as a pair).
Paul Tisdale
Steve McLaren.
