Great player for the club.
The thinking must be to give McGinty a full loan to see if he imporves, or sell at the end of the season.
He is shaky and miles away from Beadle, who we are setting our standards fora first choice keeper.

We can't sign an "emergency" loan type signing because Eastwood is available.
If he were to get crocked then we potentially could as Eddie Brearey would be the only pro keeper and he has less than 5 senior appearances. However as it sounds like there is a recall clause on McGinty, I think it would be expected that we trigger that and an emergency loan would be rejected anyway.

Any keeper signing would have to be a full loan until end of the season or a permanent deal.
Or a keeper who is a free agent on a short term deal - but can't be many of them around who have played some football recently.

Having watched the Bishop goal back in slow-mo, actually think the first save is fantastic from Eastwood, point blank, takes a nick in front of him off Bishop who didn't have the original shot and he stops it.
Complete pot luck where the ball ends up going, he blocks a 2nd stab from Bishop, and it then looks like Smyth and Moore get in each others way which stops Moore putting his boot through the ball, leaving Bishop to bundle it over the line.

The defending out wide is horrendous to allow the initial cross to come in.

Eastwood's positioning for the second is all over the place (the old shot across him situation), much like the defence as well.

Disagree. Why? Could have saved the cash we don't need 3 goalies
Most, if not all clubs at this level have a 3rd keeper who is more of a ‘training keeper’ who is an older, experienced player. Eastwood has 427 games under his belt and is well thought of at the club. His wage won’t be breaking the bank either.

I think clubs tend to have unregistered 3rd keepers due to the emergency goalkeeper loans being so restrictive. Any keeper on your books must be used before bringing another in. So should we have an injury and suspension at the same time, we could call on someone with 400 league games under their belt rather than a youth keeper.
