Played well against ArsenalHe’s obviously not been cutting it in training, otherwise he wouldn’t have been ignored.
I certainly haven’t been convinced by what I’ve seen of him
Can only assume something akin to the Henry situation from last Summer - effectively being offered an extended deal for a reduced wage (albeit Henry's change was triggered by the contract for Brannagan).
I'm really worried about Easty playing in goal for the next few weeks.
Do we need an emergency loan?
Is it confirmed they Cummings will be out?I'm really worried about Easty playing in goal for the next few weeks.
Do we need an emergency loan?
We can't sign an "emergency" loan type signing because Eastwood is available.
If he were to get crocked then we potentially could as Eddie Brearey would be the only pro keeper and he has less than 5 senior appearances. However as it sounds like there is a recall clause on McGinty, I think it would be expected that we trigger that and an emergency loan would be rejected anyway.
Any keeper signing would have to be a full loan until end of the season or a permanent deal.
Or a keeper who is a free agent on a short term deal - but can't be many of them around who have played some football recently.
Training goalie and on very little money in the grand scheme of things, not sure why folks are so confused by it.But why?
Most, if not all clubs at this level have a 3rd keeper who is more of a ‘training keeper’ who is an older, experienced player. Eastwood has 427 games under his belt and is well thought of at the club. His wage won’t be breaking the bank either.Disagree. Why? Could have saved the cash we don't need 3 goalies
All big clubs have training goalies don’t they? Can’t wait till we get a throw in coach.
