I did this around a week ago. My local in Hampshire is run by a friend who comes from Witney and I support him as much as I can.
I’m sure the government are screwing the pub trade far too much with all the extra taxes continually being levied

Agree that the government is screwing the pub industry but from what I hear some of the breweries hardly help either....

They don’t help that is true. Unfortunately that’s the way it is now, everyone obsessed with making money

The trouble is that they will sometimes cutrheof nose off to spite their face.
So pubs doing ok then get a latte rent increase which means that they don't do ok. Pub closes down and brewery gets less beer sales (but of course in the South of England can sell of the pub for flats!)

Perhaps they should stop selling coffee and stick to beer.
