Yes, this is my interpretation of the rules. And as you say, if we think it is unlikely he will be available before January, on the chance the embargo gets lifted prior to that, not registering him would allow us to fill his place with a free agent outside of the transfer window. It would, however, put us in the predicament where we end up having a perfectly fit player at the club (Roosken or his replacement) who misses out on our squad cap come January due to too many players at the club (as we had with Gregg Leigh last season).

EDIT - Actually, I don't know if that's correct. But the Gregg Leigh similarity still stands.

I don't see anything in the Embargo rules to suggest an injured player wouldn't be included. It's a totally different situation to us registering him in our squad list (where we might already be short of 22 outfield players unless Ferdinan returns after the ASEAN Championship). If Kent had been registered before his injury, then he would have been included. Isn't that why it was stressed that he wasn't formerly registered?

This is the worst time of the year for injuries (along with the middle of winter). Hopefully a couple of months means a couple of months, which is October, and a handful of games. Any longer and I'd expect to be hearing more about 'lengthy spells' or 'significant chunks', rather than 'not as bad as we'd feared'.

There were assumptions Romeny wouldn't be registered this time last year. November was mentioned. But he was turning out for Indonesia on the 8th of October.

What Roosken needs now is the support of the club, the fans and, most of all, his closest friend.

I'm sure the club won't leave him out in the cold, the fans will back him all the way and Brian... are you there mate?
 
Sent him a message on Instagram saying how he looked good pre-season and hoping for a quick recovery. He actually replied saying appreciated the message. Very surprised tbh. Feel for the guy looked like he was going to get a run of games hopes he gets back in action soon.. Hopefully he comes back stronger and ready to go we will need him. No reply from BDK mind. 🤣

Personally I think people can make their own decisions in their lives on who and who not to message if they want. But thats my opinion.

I have sent 2 messages on Instagram ever to players. Obviously not thinking about a reply. I just think it was nice that I got a reply from him as usually I would think players would deem themselves too important to message back a common fan. I haven't even got a profile picture or anything and only follow a few players and pages I am interested in I just use the account to read news posts etc..

So I am sorry If you think this is so wrong wishing someone a quick recovery when they got a bad injury playing for our club.

Of course if people use the message system to vent devicive opinions and bad mouth players to their own personal accounts should probably think about what they are doing with their lives.

But a short message showing support for a player. I personally don't see what is wrong with that. He obviously didn't either. Pretty sure they can see for themselves what messages are worth reading and what are not.

You are welcome to message whomever you want or not.

As I have prob. mentioned before when he was playing for us my French partner then emailed him and got a response.

I know he’s an ex Terrier and BDK’s mate but if this is true I want him out of the club as soon as possible.
That isn’t embarrassing that is downright unacceptable and should be brought to the attention of Aaron Ramsey

What's wrong with telling your opponents, "well played"? He's not communicating with randoms, but people he knows.
 
Fwiw, he's not listed as liking any of Huddersfield's content from Tuesday.
So either has 'unliked" or it was a bit of jiggery pokery on the image by the Huddersfield fan.
