Current Player Thread Ruben Roosken

Currently out of the UK and watched his debut online without previously having read any of this - personally I thought it was a pretty good debut from the Rooster. Given how much we were on the back foot, he did his best to get forward when he could, looked athletic and seemed to have a decent left foot. He and Currie would seem to present two good options.

Looked very good in a short debut. If he can do that for 90 minutes, we’ve got us a player!

Seems very odd to me, if he can’t get in the match day squad, he isn’t good enough unless the club know Currie is off

I suppose it’s two things, we don’t want 4 full backs in the match day squad so he misses out and you are probably right in Currie being off in the summer, we need a sale for the financial rules I should think.

What the f*ck are you lot on about?

Roosken is 26 years old. Fully fit. And nowhere near our matchday squad. Having struggled to hold down a place at a mid-table League One outfit.

Currie is 23. Spencer is 21.

And you're out here calling Roosken a development signing.

LMFAO.

He is more of a replacement signing for Currie, we won’t have to be overcharged replacing Currie once we sell him for millions in the summer.

Whatever division we are in, barring a bad injury, Roosken is a strange signing if Currie is still here next season, I think, barring that injury again, that’s very unlikely.

Whether it will all work out we don’t know yet but at least the club are actually forward planning.

Another Ed Waldron masterpiece, why we didn’t continue with Greg Leigh until the end on the season, who offers a goal threat is beyond me.

As is adding Ter Avest to the squad for one game and then not naming him since..

Whatever division we end up in next year we really need to improve our football leadership in the summer.

Out of interest, how do you blame Waldron?
It sounds as if Leigh was on the way out and presumably Bloomfield didn't fancy him.

There certainly has been some odd signings, Prelec is another one, he hasn’t set the world alight, doesn’t strike me as a player who will ‘bust a fit’ for the cause.
