Roberts on loan

I reckon he will be gone in the summer anyway so stay out on existing being extended or a new loan.

I'm glad that Roberts is getting game time and have no doubt that he'll have a successful career but just don't think that will be us. I think he could be very good with a season or 2 at conference level before hopefully moving back up the leagues again.

Remember that Guiseley are second bottom in the Conference, so chances will be few and far between for him, so three goals already is a decent return. I can see him possibly extending his stay there beyond his initial month, but I dont think it is a foregone conclusion that he will be leaving us in the summer, especially if he carries on at this rate...

Confirmed that he is staying at Guiseley for the rest of the season - seems to have fitted in very well, very quickly and is already in the goals, scoring as many in half a dozen games here than he did on any of the loans he went on while still going through his own tough times after the tragedy.

As many on here know, I've long followed the exploits of our scholars as they move on from graduation, and I say again from what I've seen, I think any judgement on the lad should ignore the last couple of years (and any third hand rumours about 'attitude' that fail to understand or appreciate what was happening behind the scenes) and look forward from hereon in....I think the JR of old is on his way back.....
