Ex-Player Thread Rob Dickie

We've paid money for someone? *rubs eyes* Wonder if he's first team ready.

Great news that, with raglan back soon as well we now have a bit more pace available in defence. (Wonder if he’s left footed) and he is taller than Jake wright.

The year is 2022, and Pep Clotet signs the squad's 14th centre-half.

In all seriousness though, good to see us signing a young, hungry player. Wonder what the future lies for our other centre-backs though? There are always rumours surrounding Nelson, we're yet to see Raglan this season, Williamson isn't getting any younger, Martin has always had question marks surrounding him and Kelleher seems completely out of the picture.

Wouldn't be surprised if we went to three at the back sometime soon, consider the fact that we have so many centre halves, we've been playing two up top and we don't have much width.

Not unless we sign 2 attacking full backs. Williamson won’t be here next season, nor probably will martin.

Good signing (didn't think his loan here has finished yet, mind!).

Been in and out of our side this season. He's technically very good and a ball playing CB. Definitely more in the mould of a modern CB than you're old fashioned head and kick it type one.

The above is from a Lincoln fan on another forum. Sounds promising.

Reading fans seem peeved about him leaving, Lincoln fans can only praise him, young, English and already got just under 50 games in L2 under his belt. On paper a great signing, hope to see him on the pitch soon. Shouldn't have to take long to settle either

The fact reading fans and Lincoln fans are gutted makes me excited about this. This is definitely not a pep signing suspect this was the work of FAZ, Allen and Scouting Team Or possibly connections through Tiger.

Well, that didn't take long did it? Target identified, fee negotiated, player signed. Anyone for a little crow? Chef Eales will be serving momentarily. ;)

Looks a good signing. Welcome to Oxford!

He can play RB? Hopefully means no more Tiendalli after Saturday. Give him a few games in team after Blackpool before rotating between Carroll and Dickie at Rb when Ricardinho returns. Imagine the size of our defence with Dickie Martin Mousinho and Carroll at the back. We'd have no excuse to be conceding from corners!

How dare Eales stick to his word and spend money on a young English player! Does he not know he needs to go against what he says so people have a reason to want him out of our club?

In all seriousness this looks a good signing. I would expect to see Martin moved on in this window as it has just not worked out for him here.

I’d keep Williamson for the remainder of the season just for his influence in the changing room.

Unsure on Raglan as it all depends how he does when fit.
