You don’t punish a young player for one mistake. That would be very poor management

I doubt if he dropped him due to one mistake however bad.
Apparently Nelson and Mous were very annoyed as full back should always be ahead of the CBs in these instances.

Would have thought Long could be in with a shout to play Saturday. Looked quite comfortable last night considering he hasn’t played for the first team for two years
