Shock horror dwindling partisan radio show says annihilation……. even though the interviewee didn’t say anything of the sort. He said it would be bad in Scotland and wales and that it would be ok in London because they have such a strong base there. He also said in wales it is loosing ground to plyd cymru. Not reform

You know to loose as badly as talk are saying (annihilation) it has to be true, .

This looks like insider trading and treason and as far as I’m concerned he should be investigated for both.

Personally I think any politician convicted of doing anything like this should be punished even more heavily that the average man in the street. They have been voted into a position of trust and if they misuse it they should be hung out to dry.

No excuses, no leniency.

Starmer is walking a tightrope. The incompetence of hiring him is utterly staggering.

Either the didn’t get him properly (incompetence) or they thought f**k it let’s just put him in there.
Neither of which is good enough for government and Starmer needs to seriously consider his position

The Prince of darkness deserves to face many years of darkness.

Don`t worry he`s resigned from the House of Lords...... :ROFLMAO:

I mean apart from the insider trading and borderline treason I`m sure @Sheik Djibouti will be along shortly to justify SKS`s "solid judgement" in appointing him as British Ambassador to the US. 🤷‍♂️

Could be another Profumo that brings down another Labour government..............

Mandelson should go to prison end of ,and Starmer should call an election .What a cover up ,what did he say i can't remember anything about the 75,000 unbelievable

Nevermind the government, sending a wrongun to try and schmooze another wrongun probably isn't the worst idea in the world.

The important question is why didn't the security services pull Mandleson aside/raise the alarm? Surely they knew. The emails read as if Epstein was his handler, Ehud Barak was instructed to give him jobs. He was working on behalf of a foreign government.

He may have resigned but still perversely maintains his title.
I see Prince Edward showed his disgust for Andrew. And to think his estranged wife took the daughters to meet Epstein after his release from prison on paedophile charges.
Starmer by backing Mandelson for his role in USA clearly has poor judgement. If the police are to investigate insider trading he could be facing jail time. I’d rather him be exported to USA to face charges, and face time in a penintentiary over there.
I don’t think the sheikh will be defending the Right Honourable Sir Keir Starmer.

Why would I defend poor judgement?

And Mandleson to face justice in the US???? Do me a favour 🤣 Trump is more likely to pardon him than put him behind bars.

I do however like the way you conflate my a amusement at your Starmer Derangement Syndrome and my intense dislike of what the Tories did to the country over the last 14 years, with me actually liking the current PM.

Still... he's better than Boris, or Truss or Rishi.... but that's a particularly low bar!

I did say you wouldn’t defend Starmer. Who could?
I guess that’s a strong possibility, that Trump would let Mandelson off. I’m sure like me though you’d like Andrew to answer allegations. He is a coward and deserves retribution.
I wouldn’t like to make comparisons, with former prime ministers. Sunak came across well but he certainly wasn’t going to succeed after the Truss fallout. At the time I was a fan of Boris and he did seem to start well.
The British electorate will determine Starmers fate, unless his own party does that in the wake of the local elections in May and the by election in Manchester.
Starmer and Mandelson looked happy on TV earlier…they look to have the same glasses. Maybe Keir gave him one of the pairs given him last year by the rich benefactor.

Starmer wouldn’t call an election. Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas.

First part yes, but why should Starmer call an election? Is there precedent for it to happen?

Yes there is, albeit it slightly different, the 1963 Profumo affair significantly contributed to the downfall of the Conservative government, primarily by destroying the credibility of Prime Minister Harold Macmillan and exposing the establishment to accusations of a cover-up.

PM`s credibility - check. ✅
Cover-up - check. ✅

Not quite the same as forcing a government to have an early election though was it? Didn't the government go through to the next scheduled GE before losing power?

Yeah but they had honour and accountability back then. This is 2026 - we don't do that anymore.

I dunno - Trump probably needs a scapegoat or two to make the Epstein files go away; a couple of people to (metaphorically) swing to take the heat off him and his billionaire buddies.

A British former politician and lobbyist might fit the bill for him nicely.........

Depending on the dirt he has on Trump of course . . . .

It could be they all thought 'nobody will dob on me because I've got dirt on them'. The weakness of such an approach is that once one Domino falls it eventually knocks them all over. Popcorn over here please!

The 2 child benefit cap has been scrapped after a vote where Reform couldn't even organise 7 MPs. Weird that it was a left/right issue, you would have thought those whinging about immigration would be all for policy change that will help to raise the birthrate.
