Hi, it's me! Back again after 14 and a half years in the wilderness (poacher turned gamekeeper turned poacher again).

Just a brief message to let you know that today's game against Leicester is previewed on Rage Online: https://rageonline.co.uk/the-oxes-and-the-foxes/ (would have publicised this earlier, but just didn't get it together).

Previews and reports (Fans View) will hopefully be a regular thing going forward. We also want to get back to being a bit more fanziney, so if anyone has anything they'd like to write for RO please send it in and (as long as it's not racist, sexist, homophobic or pro-Swindon) it will probably get published. I'll let you know on here once we have a contact email address set up (it's in progress).

And apologies from the Mod team that we didn't spot you post earlier, approval is required to post in this section to try and keep it somewhat clean.

You should be able to bypass this approval process (feel free to test by posting another thread).

Further to my original post in this thread, if anyone wants to provide any content for Rage Online, we now have an email address: OUFCunofficial@gmail.com

Anything is welcome: historical articles, statistical articles, opinion pieces, cartoons, poetry, fiction, etc. As long as it's about the Mighty Yellows. We already produce our own match previews and reports, but if you think you can do better you're more than welcome to send them in; we will consider them properly in a totally subjective way before totally disregarding them.

May well drop you a note. Used to do a few bits and pieces for the site when I was at Uni.

For those of you who are into such things, we also have a presence on Blue Sky (@rageonline.bsky.social) and, reluctantly, on Twitter (@OUFCunoffial). That's about as exciting as it gets though (probably should get down with the kids and do Insta and TikTok as well, but there are only so many seconds in the day)

"Unoffial". I see the RageOnline attitude to spelling remains the same 😉 🤣

Never change guys.

United are up against winless Sheffield United tomorrow. What could go wrong? We tell you in our preview: https://rageonline.co.uk/united-hoping-to-knife-the-blades/

We have had a penalty this season against Malaga in preseason in the 3-0 win which Brannagan scored , which of course doesnt count.

Good point. I could edit the article but, as you say, it doesn't count

Pre-match we went to the Grapes. They seem to have reintroduced a few things from last year. 10% CAMRA discount and a 10% football match ticket discount. Also free bacon-rolls. There were a few Middlesbrough fans in as well, having a jolly sing-song "Gimme gimme gimme, Kim Hellberg from Sweden", which at first we thought they were signing about someone from that place down the A420. They were also cheering on West Brom vs Coventry, though we left before the Coventry come-back.

Pretty wet, cold and miserable day for a football match. Overall a point against the team in second should be welcome, and hopefully we can get three vs Norwich on Tuesday.

The buses now get to the Blackbird from the town centre in about half an hour instead of 45 minutes and seem to have given up stopping and waiting at Templars' Square and other places where they had to stick to a timetable. Similarly on the way back to the station we went sailing past any empty stops.

Good point well made.
