European Championships Quarter-Final: Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฆ vs Germany ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช

Can only see the Germans winning now ๐Ÿฅบ keep UEFA happy , host nation staying in

Hope I'm wrong

Well deserved what a spell of pressure from the Germans

Or Spain deciding to go full Southgate with 25 minutes to go.

The leveller was thoroughly deserved. Spain have decided to try to play again now extra time is underway.

If it goes to pens, again the narrative is an obvious one. Germany have not lost a penalty shootout since their first in 1976.

I wonder what ITV's VAR "specialist" is getting paid for adding absolutely no insight whatsoever.

On FOX in the US, they've got Mark Clattenburg playing that role.

I can't imagine that there's any American that has a clue what he's saying, unless for some reason they happen to speak fluent Geordie.

Germany lose to a last minute ET goal then.....how tragic. :ROFLMAO:

As an aside - I feel like Germany suffered from a minor version of Ronaldo syndrome this tournament.

Toni Kroos has without doubt been a great player for a long time, but boy is he slow now. Don't recall him contributing very much at all to their wins and goals this tourney - feel like they would have been better off deciding to put him into retirement one tournament sooner and getting another athlete in there.

Champions league winner a month ago though, not in a retirement league like Ronaldo, so thatโ€™s a brave move for a manager.

Yeah, but he was surrounded by Camavinga, Bellingham and Valverde - those three can do a hell of a lot of running so that Kroos doesn't have to.

For Germany, he's starting alongside Emre Can and Gundogan, and then they're bringing on Andrich.....just not enough energy there, meaning that Kroos was a luxury they couldn't really afford.

Either of those two sides would have slaughtered England the way they are playing.
