European Championships Quarter-Final: Portugal ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น vs France ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท

France have scored two own goals and one penalty in 5 games, make England look like Spurs under Ossie Ardiles, just go straight to penalties for all France games from now on.

Worth pointing out though that they've only conceded one goal in those five games - and that was a penalty that Lewandowski needed two goes at to score.

William Saliba is probably the player of the tournament so far - either him or Rodri, anyway.

But France's ineptitude in front of goal is reaching hilarious proportions now - think they've had 87 attempts at goal so far this tournament, and they've managed to score with one of them (Mbappe's penalty). Steve Anthrobus would be ashamed of that ratio!

Cry baby Ronaldo never had a kick, played off the park by young 23yr old Arsenals William Saliba for the whole 120 minutes.

I know he's been a great servant to his country - but he should be ashamed of the way this tournament has gone.

Potentially a really good Portugal team, and he has no business starting games for them at his age with his diminished skills, let alone playing a full 120 minutes every time and hogging most of the free kicks.

Their own fault for choosing a yes man as manager, and generally genuflecting to Ronaldo, but Portugal will have a way better chance at the next World Cup if he's called it a day by then.

I was pointing out they were a boring watch though, adding that they have only conceded a penalty to the fact that they have only scored a penalty and two own goals over 5 games makes the point further. Thatโ€™s two less goals than in Englands four games, takes some going to out dull this Southgate England team but so far they have managed it.

They might have good players, they might win it (hopefully not) but so far they have been a very hard watch.

Yes he was once a great player, but age has caught up with him.

Ego and vanity means he doesnโ€™t know when to retire from international football, weakness from the Portuguese management allows him to continue.

His inclusion is now a hindrance to the team.
