Farage hasn't gone, but he has been weakened significantly by the £5m stuff and the farce of the by-election. Yes, he will maintain his core vote. Like Trump supporters, the more dodgy he looks, the more they like him. But these core voters were never enough for victory at a GE.

And instead of winning over Tories or disaffected Labour supporters, he is now seen by many as a grifter, a liar and a joke. His weekly press conferences have disappeared, as has his frequent spots on every TV channel. GB news and Talk TV have questioned his explanation for his £5m gift, and right wing papers including the Times, the Telegraph and the Mail have run repeated stories against him.

Collectively, they now see Kemi Badenoch as the one most likely to become the next PM from the right.

It's only a matter of time before Farage quits to make a s**t tonne more money without any of the scrutiny that comes with it.

And Reform senior figures know this and smell blood. Zia Yusuf (possibly the single most odious individual in UK politics) is pulling the strings from Reform HQ and directly challenging Robert Jenrick (the second most odious) in what is looking like a battle for future leader. Neither have any of the charm or presence that Farage possesses, and neither have any hope of growing support for Reform. Yusuf is hated by the racist element of Reforms base, and is politically naive. Jenrick is hated by Tories and those that hate the Tories!

And beyond this you've got the likes of Richard Tice, Lee Anderson, Sarah Pochin and Suella Braverman who no one takes seriously anymore.

I said they'd collapse by the next election, I now think they'll be behind Labour and the Tories in the polls by the end of the year, and will barely see out the next 12 months as a party with credible GE ambitions.

I completely agree with you. I will even go as far as saying that by this time next year, Nigel Farage will NOT be the leader of Reform. I've said it before, but his Achilles Heel is money - whether that's his dozen or so on-the-side jobs (when he should be doing MP duties), dodging taxes by registering himself as a one man Limited Company, accepting bribes from Thai crypto-spivs or convicted fraudsters, or accepting 85 quid to say 'Up the RA'. Being Prime Minister is a full-time job, and is not a job for grifters.

I know he wants to bring Trumpism to the UK and to profiteer from being Prime Minister, even if it is to the detriment of the country in general. However, Trump is not very popular in this country - even amongst Reform UK supporters.

I think the Parliamentary Commission will find him guilty - whether there is a suspension that triggers a recall petition and another by election, we'll have to see. But the damage done will be too great to ignore.

The other thing you've not mentioned is that there is a LOT of money being pumped into Reform UK and their propaganda TV channels GB News and Talk TV, and the millionaires/billionaires that are funding this will demand a change of leadership, or threaten to withdraw funding. They want to see a return on their investment so whilst I can't see Farage stepping down voluntarily, there could easily be a revolt from within (Yusuf, Jenrick), but most likely it will be a 'golden handshake' of a few million pounds to step down as we've clearly seen that money is his sole motivation.

Farage and his cronies have been caught accepting an illegal £500,000 foreign donation plus three favourable opinion polls filmed and exposed on C4 news tonight. All involved including Farage were caught bang to rights in the sting. All footage has been forwarded to the Electoral Commission and the Police.
 
This is the beginning of the end for Farage and Reform.

All of these billionaires throwing millions at Reform are only doing it because there was a good chance of them gaining power. Now they look more likely to be sitting in third in National polls than to be leading them, and with greater scrutiny over their funding, I can see the money men bailing out.

Farage has gone from their biggest asset to a liability and I doubt he'll even contest a second by-election if found guilty of breaking parliamentary rules. That's if he's not facing criminal charges.

And once he's gone, Reform will collapse into a civil war between Jenrick and Yusuf, before collapsing!

Its going to be wonderful to watch!

I said a couple of days ago that I reckon Farage will be gone within a year. This could further expedite his fall from grace.

Although no doubt some will continue to say this is an establishment stitch up. 🤷‍♂️

An internal investigation focused on how they (verbatim) got so close to Nige and how they got caught, nothing more.

I think it's more a case of "thrown to the lions/under a bus as sacrificial lambs in a pathetic and ultimately futile attempt to save Nigel's sorry hide", as opposed to "stepped down" is probably closer to the truth (not that Reform are that well acquainted with truth).

As Dennis Skinner once said, "When the posh boys are in trouble, they sack the servants"

What was nice that one of those 2 helpfully listed other donations where foreign donors put it in via an eligible person. So plenty more for the authorities to investigate.
 
I wonder if he will stand down today at the conference, he should do absolutely shocking. It goes on at every party one way or another its just another nail in politics and the system

I very much doubt it. He wants to be in the spotlight as it panders to his ego and (quite coincidentally) gives him more oppotrunities to make a buck or two (I use the American currency advisedly).

He will play the victim card, say everyone is against him and Reform, that it is all a conspiracy by the Establishment that he is absolutely definitely not a part of and try to blame others in the party (he has already done so and shipped them out - not because the party did it, but because they admitted the party did it).

And it's actually no good playing the 'they are all the same' card either. There is a whole world of difference between the dodgy gift of a pair of glasses or tickets to a football match and £5m 'personal gifts', the party being funded by foreign powers, dodgy crypto etc.

To Reform? On current evidence of taking money from foreign countries and massive personal 'gifts' from dodgy sources - every other party.

I am not being partial here: Labour, LibDems, Conservatives, Greens, the other far right parties, Count Binface, the Raving Loonies - everyone. Of course if investigations find they are also guilty of the same things, then you can tar them with the same brush, but as far as I know (and I am sure journalists are looking!) nobody else has had such serious breaches exposed.

As predicted the excuses are coming in thick and fast:-

"the investigation was carried out by 'far left activists' who have perpetuated hoaxes for many years" - So, everybody who doesn't follow Reform UK is far-left? Okaaayyy! It's called scrutiny Nigel, and all politicians who have designs to go into Number 10 will face it. It's your fault you and your underlings were caught with your trousers down.

Farage reads a statement in response, and says the party has "done nothing wrong" and has "taken no illegal money" - We'll let the police and the electoral commission decide that shall we (after the EC have concluded their other investigation on the £5 million bribe).

It was just 'loose pub talk' - you are a politician who has been in the business for 30 years, if you are still too naive to not fall for tricks like that, then you certainly aren't fit to run the country.

Farage also said "How did those reporters get let through, and manage to get to me" - They offered you money. That's how Nigel. Where-ever there is money Nigel's there.
