The UK Government could not, and never will be able to, create a sovereign/national wealth fund.

If it receives extra revenue it spends it, it never saves for a rainy day, it never balances the books.

Other countries run a tighter ship

Norway`s current debt as a % of GDP is 30%.

United Kingdom debt as a % of GDP is 110%.

I went to Clacton once when I was about 11 (won an alarm clock on the Bingo). Can confirm it's very dangerous. Not only did my nan have a seizure in the town centre and had to be taken to hospital, but at the B&B we stayed at they grew their own veg and one evening in my salad I found a slug (never eaten lettuce since). The point is that Farage was happy walking the streets of Clacton with a fairly moderate security team, meeting complete strangers for photo opportunities.

Yet he wasn't happy going into an enclosed building with heightened security, searching and checking of credentials of all who enter, and with a police presence on top of his own security.

So if there was still a significant credible threat, then that should have been raised with the police and be on public record.

It wasn't because there was no credible threat. It was a lie. Like everything that Reform do. Even after an election where they present themselves as the party of the people, they openly lie to those people.
