As a dad of two school age children, Farage has FINALLY announced his plans for education. So what does this mean - more teachers? Smaller clasrooms? More teaching materials and resources? Better SEN support? Nope!

Within their first 100 days in Government, Reform has pledged to implement a new curriculum which shows a "patriotic history of the British Isles". What exactly doe that mean? Telling kids about the good stuff - the printing press, Magna Carta, Isambard Brunel, Industrial Revolution will no doubt be part of that. And presumably the less palatable stuff like colonisation, racism and slavery will be hidden from them. That's not history - that's propaganda.

And also they plan to put a flag up in every school and a picture of some unelected descendant of a usurper. Is this the UK, or North Korea?

I don’t think pictures should be used to mislead people either. Why do you have an OUFC emoji?

You can tell Holdsteady (aka Junior from old forum) is a Reform Supporter. Yeah but what about this? What about that? Rather than sticking to the topic.

I am not junior. Think he sells flags now though so get in touch and he can do you an Arsenal one.

And back to the old colonial British style of claim inventions as our own :) The printing press that was invented by Johan Gutenberg and subsequently brought to Britain by Caxton. The Rotherham Plough (from Rotterdam). Brunel, son of an immigrant, who was educated in France.

Yeah but at least we invented the telephone and television..... Oh...

No. 1 in this list of the "identifying characteristics of fascism" is:
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

Look, we've all done it...£5m here, £5m there.

The politics and the psyche of Farage is so evident in that story. 'I'm the victim'. 'I'm exceptional'. 'Look the other way'.
well maybe mixed it up with the £9million he gave Reform last year - amazing how these rich overseas residents are so interested in UK politics for the good of the common man...

"In his Telegraph interview, Farage said Harborne had become concerned about his level of protection when a milkshake was thrown at him in 2019, as he was campaigning in Newcastle for the Brexit Party."

Hmmm, and that requires £5million? Firstly, it's just a milkshake, not a flipping hand grenade. Secondly, he could have gone to Sports Direct and bought himself a Dunlop golf umbrella for £3.99.

Least we forget our elected representatives who have been murdered by "members of the public" they are elected to serve.

I`m sure Sir David Amess & Jo Cox wished it was "just a milkshake".............

Of course, nobody can downplay genuine security concerns. Although when it comes to telling the truth about security, Nigel Farage has been found out to be telling porkies. Remember how Farage said the reason he wasn't holding surgeries in Clacton was due to safety concerns and because the Parliamentary Security Department and the Home Office advised him not to, which of course was exposed to be a great big fib. They never actually gave him that advice. As Sutton Yellow mentioned, Farage is playing the victim card again.

Farage's safety is only really an issue if he happens to be lactose intolerant.

Farage can easily prove this not a lie by publishing all the invoice he must have paid. How long do you think we'll have to wait?

Any MP of any allegance will have those who want to do them harm, how far some individuals will take it is very different these days.

Gone are the days when Prescott got "egged" and simply right hooked the bloke, which is a proportional response.

Maybe Farage should have given the silly bint a slap...... that would go down well.

Interesting the Telegraph interview was fixed at short notice to get ahead of the news on this. Farage was approached by the Guardian for his right to reply to their scoop, his lawyers insisted on some extra time to investigate, and then evidently called the Telegraph to arrange the interview. Farage also suggested that an attempted firebombing at his home was one of the reasons - oddly the incident was in 2025, and the donation in 2024.

Yes, I read this. All very iffy.

Just noticed that on the Renewing your season ticket poll you can see who voted for which option but on this poll you can't.

How anyone could consider voting for this lot boggles the mind.

So they will deport all illegal immigrants? Spoiler Alert:- Labour already do that!

To be an illegal immigrant you have to have either a) had a visa (work visa, tourist visa) but stayed in the country once it's expired, or b) claimed asylum, had it rejected, but still remain in the country. Anybody who meets these two criteria already get deported if they are found out.

If as I suspect, they mean 'asylum seekers'. As I've said many times before, aslyum seekers are not illegal immigrants.

And anybody who puts the word 'illegals' on a policy document can never be taken seriously as a political party. Next we'll be getting 30p Lee talking about Muslamic Ray Guns!
