You think wishing someone to shatter his knee is acceptable just because he’s left our football club?

Can be constructive about it but unfortunately some go too far and wish injury on the lad.

But hey ho. Some people clearly have a different outlook of what is acceptable to say.

You’re fairly active on this thread for someone with better things to do and someone who doesn’t care about Preston or Mills!

As I’ve pointed out a few posts ago, nobody in this thread has been derogatory so why bring it up when it hasn’t been said here? It’s just a thread for some football fans to find a small amount of amusement in an otherwise depressing off season.

Perhaps it’s time for some of the virtue signalling in this thread to cease? Plenty of other topics for you to concentrate and post on if this topic is beneath you….

I am finding him a little confusing. Someone made a rather distasteful comment on another thread about wishing Stan broke his leg or similar. Nobody has been so crass on this thread but he used it as evidence to back up his argument that this thread was pointless and we should be ignoring both Mills and Preston.
He's said he has bigger things to worry about than Preston or Mills, but replied this morning to me, meaning at the time he had provided 14% of the comments.
There have been an awful lot of comments from a certain section of fans, who to me come across as wanting to be the moral arbiters of the forum and just can’t seem to ignore the thread.

We get it, you don’t like it and don’t want to talk about it. Thankfully, there are huge swathes of other subjects on this forum to concentrate on, but they just cant help themselves by returning to tell us again it isn’t for them.

I understand what you are saying but I guess there are levels to it.

I have disliked Lincoln ever since their fans ran across the pitch and tried to attack the family stand in the SSL.
I can't stand Swansea fans purely because I got spat at when entering the away end at the old Vetch Field.

Disliking a football team just because they bought one of our players who wanted to leave anyway isn't on the petty tribalism radar though.

It wasnt just a normal transfer though was it? Preston didnt offer us what we wanted so Mills refused to play to force a move.

Yep in the end they paid more but this was after Mills started f*****g around and telling the club he wanted to leave. It was probably still not as much as we wanted.

The whole situation wouldve been totally different had Preston offered, say 4 million in July, we wouldve all been ok with Mills leaving even if we didnt want him to go.

Continually commenting the same thing is ridiculous. We get it, you don’t agree that there should be a thread on Preston. Just move on and allow others that do to continue to engage with it.

For the rest of us who are interested in this as a discussion, Preston are at home to Bristol City tomorrow night and then a home derby against Blackburn on Saturday. Their fans are already fairly restless and if they remain pointless after Saturday that could be that for Hecky. Much could also rest with the rest of their transfer business. Looks like Ridsdale won’t sack him as a takeover is in the works and would be a decision for a new owner.

I'm usually not one to police threads on here, but to me it's embarrassing to be so worked up over Preston Football Club. You're probably the same types to laugh and shame Wycombe fans that try to force a rivalry with Oxford.

Anyway, go and enjoy yourselves.
 
People trying to police what others are allowed to talk about is ridiculous, a mild dislike for a club is not trying to force any kind of rivalry. Wanting Preston to crash and burn is perfectly reasonable and either way we win because a successful Preston means the club will get more add-ons for the Mills transfer.

Most football I watch outside of Oxford is with the hope that one of the teams will get humiliated. Is hate-watching not a normal thing?

I don’t understand why a couple of you can’t just leave other people to it? Why does it bother you?

I don’t care what happens to Stan Mills or Preston, but I also don’t care what other people think of them.
 
Lots of peps have criticized me for this thread.
Firstly this isn't a Preston hate thread.
next Preston have done what if it was Oxford I'd go excellent.

However I would like Preston to go down and Mills to suffer.

He was one of the players that got us relegated, it's a squad game, he should have stayed
