I wouldn’t want to live there, don’t get me wrong, it’s a kip, but as a place to get pissed up it serves a purpose.

It’s got a better beach than Oxford, too.

Does any locals actually go into Oxford town centre anymore?? All I see is day trippers. No nightclubs ,no good old local pubs no more, no footy fans on a Saturday no more , only away fans.All the pubs that were full of locals, are full of students now....

How would you know if the youngsters are locals or students? Everyone under 24 looks the same to me now, joys of getting older.

How would you know if the youngsters are locals or students? Everyone under 24 looks the same to me now, joys of getting older.

Trust me I know, it's called communication...
Plus I'm still one of the oldest swingers in town,every home match I start & finish in Town till 3 am. Trust me it's changed.....& Not because I'm older....

Up until recent times, the students had their pubs in Town. Then you had the in-between pubs some student & locals mixed. Then the local pubs where majority are locals from the estates etc.
You could go from the Chequers to the Crown to Roebuck, the Dolly, the Westgate, the Red Lion Ale House ,Welsh pony too many too mention over the years.
Don't get me wrong ,locals still go ,but not on the scale it was .
Go up North & it's pretty much the same as it was ,old school...
