Uefa fears impact of new Premier League spending rules

Uefa is seriously concerned that the Premier League's new financial rules could further impact competitive balance.

This highlights how scary the prems finances are.

Without the global rights deal they would be buggered. With the world possibly going into recession will this amount drop and how will the lower money impact lower down.

What I took from that is

- Premier league clubs make up 25% of all European football club revenues (and that will rise)

- Qualifying for the Conference league, given the different spending protocols of 85% (prem) and 70% (UEFA) and the pretty small prize money on offer is not really worth the hassle for prem clubs, although how they avoid it I don't know.
