Looks bright. Different to Murphy in that he’s more diminutive and agile rather than pace and power heading for the byline so can’t be compared. But looks very tidy and had a couple of decent efforts.

Thought Cumming was excellent first half, one error which he made amends for and otherwise looked solid and made a couple of decent saves, also improved with his feet and distribution.
We weathered a few spells of pressure well, one good save by Cumming, Kioso is better defensively than going forward, so far anyway. The trialist has had two chances and runs around a bit, other than that, not impressed so far. Harris is a clever player and time after time he cuts off their ball out. Encouraging half.

Tell you what, for all the deals done or that might be done, McEachran still stands out when he plays. I think the guy is top class.
Such a shame his body isn’t quite up to it every week but in terms of ability he could stroll in to this Southampton side no problem.
