I was our mascot in that match. Got a photo with myself, le tissier and some random youth player in the background which happened to be Alan Shearer.

Got our tickets and had to laugh, the digital ticket still has the banner at the foot of the ticket proclaiming Sky bet League 1.

That is a brilliant story. We all have them to some degree but that is a cracker.

In the olden days I am sure that we played them in a pre season friendly at the manor , beat them 2-0, John Fleming with one of the goals, 1973 /4 at a guess

One Southampton fan said on their forum that they will bring a shed load up for the friendly with Oxford. Thinking about it that'll be quite complimentary to our beautiful fence that we get to see again in under a month. Topical cream anyone?

Yep, And they kept us back for awhile after the final whistle

Played them a couple of pre seasons in the 80's as well. Think lost 4-5 in one of them !
Mark Wright playing for them as well as a young Martin Foyle in one of them.

I remember a 3-3 at the Kassam against Southampton. I think Steve Basham made his debut and Bobby Ford also scored a belter after re-signing. Probably 2003.
