Two up front worked well given the situation of the game on Saturday - they were sitting deep trying to hold on to a win, and we had 20 minutes to go for it. Not sure it'd work as a starting point.

However, I would like to see us start with the same intent we finished the Millwall game with, with Brannagan in that deeper role, El Miz and Goodrham in front of him, and Dale on the left.

I think we need to start quickly and put their defence on the back foot. If we can get a goal, or even create the sense in the crowd that their awful form is starting to creep in at home, we could get the crowd on their backs too.

If all are fit, I'd go with:

Cumming

Kioso Moore Brown Leigh

Brannagan

Phillips Goodrham El Mizouni Dale

In itself a draw isn't a bad result, puts huge pressure on the QPR match on Wednesday night though as we simply have to get a win away at some point else we are leaving ourselves to much to do at home.

Be interesting to know what the lowest away points total achieved by a side that has stayed up is?

I need to pop abroad this weekend and would like to watch the match. Does anyone have an informed suggestion about a possible destination where I might be able to do this?

18 points is the average for away points over last five seasons for the team finishing 4th & staying up .
We are a country mile away from achieving those figures .

So we need to be looking at 16 points from the remaining 15 away games really, with away trips to Leeds, West Brom, Burnley and Middlesbrough not likely to yield much we are going to have to win at least 3 or 4.

Is it just the two away draws so far this season or am I missing one?

It's a big ask on current form .The direction of travel needs to change in next 2 away games .

FAWANEWS.COM is good all over the world. Just remember the time difference with the UK

I appreciate the next two games are huge, but I'm not sure delivering ultimatums about their importance will help.

We have demonstrated so far this season that on our day we have the ability in our squad to perform to a level that would give us a good chance of staying up.

Of course we need to start delivering that level of performance more consistently, and I'm inclined to think we need four points from Plymouth and QPR and 10/11 in total between now and the end of 2024. This is achievable as we're playing a lot of teams in and around us; any points we take from them get are points they can't get. If we get the results we want, this could put a little bit of distance between ourselves and 22nd.

But there's an old saying: 'wish in one hand, sh!t in the other - see which fills up first'. Wishing won't get us results or points, performances will.

For now, the results are entirely out of our (fans') hands. It's up to Des to pick a side that is capable of delivering performances and results, and it's up to the players to perform to the best of their ability.

It's up to us, in the stands, to sing our hearts out and back the players and the manager. We've heard players and coaching staff say time and again that it makes a difference, and I don't think they're just saying that.

We are underdogs in this league. There will be no 'gimmes' this year. There might be 'less hard' games, but there won't be any easy ones. Stay up or go down, every point we win will be fought for tooth and nail.

And we've shown already this season we've got a squad of tenaciuous bastards, and when the going gets tough - as it no doubt will, over the next half a dozen games and beyond - we need to match the resilience we've seen on the pitch, in the stands.

Do the club not provide a lot of possible destinations fans can travel to in order to buy and watch the game on a match by match basis?

It might be in the preview. TBH I rarely look at the OWS.

Worth keeping an eye on the forecast.

Potentially some wild and woolly weather for the south of England on Saturday.

Heard rumours that Plymouth are a pretty small team, and that seems to be born out looking at the statistics. The new Spanish CB they signed in the summer is 5'10''!

Feels like a game where we could have a big physical edge.

We've been passing the ball so poorly lately that I wonder if this is more of a game to put football philosophies to one side, get some of our bigger units on the field (Goodwin? Phillips?) and play a more direct style to try and unsettle them from the start.......

Not necessarily.
You don't stay up due to away points.
At the moment we are pretty close to what we need to stay up. We will need what 30 to 32 points from 28 games to stay up. So just over a point per game.
We could replicate what we have done to date , but need an extra couple of points on top.
We will need to do better away, but an away points total is not relevant?
