On the same basis I thought Bloomfield would be better than Sheehan for being a known quantity, I think the same of Manning on a heightened level. We know what he is, we know what he expects and better yet, he knows what it’s like working for the club, which is not a breeze.Quite seriously, I was wondering last night whether Manning might’ve been inclined to change his mind about withdrawing his interest - and whether the club would be prepared to offer an olive branch. Lewis Price could possibly be acting as a mediator.
I will go on record now and say I will lose my s**t if Manning comes back and mentions 'behaviours' in any of his first 3 interviews.Going on record now to say i would be happy with Manning. Kept us up once and hes the one available manager that on paper looks the right choice for a club in our position.
I should have clarified: mind was a sport model too. Can't remember the year. Went like s**t off a shovel until it decided to throw a rod on the M5 heading for GlastonburyWill raise you to Ford Escort Sport, 1972, Monza Blue and £904 out of the showroom. Virtually none left and so collectible.

That’s a relief, he’s promised to do it in his 4th.I will go on record now and say I will lose my s**t if Manning comes back and mentions 'behaviours' in any of his first 3 interviews.

This is a certainty.I will go on record now and say I will lose my s**t if Manning comes back and mentions 'behaviours' in any of his first 3 interviews.
I can only put it down to the fact that people know Manning and will accept his lack of loyalty because he is a competent manager where as if we appoint Sheehan or Bloomfield there is no telling what they might be like. For all the complaints made on here about his interviews and the snakes/chants made toward him at Bristol city, it sure is strange that there is now a sudden love for this appointment.
Embarrassing really.
Would be a hell of a twist if that was actually a page out of Mannings PowerPoint, the addition of stars and colours make me doubt it though, far too exuberant for him.Right, to sum up today, first a PowerPoint presentation of potential new players is leaked, then Manning becomes favourite for the job... Surely the two can't be linked...
There is now a bit of security with Manning, I mean where’s he going from us ? No Championship club with ambitions of the PL is going to realistically touch him after the Norwich debacle, albeit the decent job he did at Bristol. That leaves other less ambitious Championship clubs, who we should be able to compete with on most levels, or top end L1 who again we should match. I don’t really see where he could be tempted away to, once bitten twice shy as they say.
Maybe he’s been on a training course.Would be a hell of a twist if that was actually a page out of Mannings PowerPoint, the addition of stars and colours make me doubt it though, far too exuberant for him.

For me, I don't like Manning and will find it hard to fully get behind him if he rocks up here again. I also found his football boring to watch.
Steve, I’m amazed at how deeply it cuts you when you’re nowhere near the bloke. Anything could’ve happened that meant he couldn’t give the players a cuddle on his way out. Frankly, I don’t know and don’t care. It’s a transactional business that I’m sure the players understand (and if not, I’d tell them to grow up). The way he’s been bastardised for taking a bigger opportunity on more money and doing so in a maybe-too-cold fashion is mental. Especially when you consider who he was working for that has gone on to make a number of errors at the cost of managers - can we honestly sit here and say he was wrong to go??I can only put it down to the fact that people know Manning and will accept his lack of loyalty because he is a competent manager where as if we appoint Sheehan or Bloomfield there is no telling what they might be like.

Player's are generally selfish themselves, it might be more of an issue with people like Brannagan, Long and Short. The biggest issue for me is how many of our long standing players/potential transfers are going to respond to him given his reputation for zero loyalty and the way he left the club in 2023.
Well, apart from nearly taking MK down when they collapsed following losing their play-off semi the previous season. What happened at Norwich is the only blip on his career to be fair to him.
