I mean....eesh....dropped us like a stone on the first opportunity....but, on cold balance is he a better option than Sheehan and Bloomfield....probably

He might of ruled himself out but he was the third that was interviewed that I mentioned. I didn't want to spoil everyone's new year celebrations so didn't tell anyone except @bazzer9461 🙃
He was the only one who when interviewed, agreed to be paraded around in July 26 on the back of a lion during the pre season tour of an unnamed location.

I dont care about that I want to know what his first car was before deciding if he us welcome back.

At the end of the day if it is him, he went and got a better paying job. Most would do the same, especially after he took MK dons to the playoffs then got sacked not long into the season after.

When you need everyone to get on board and fight for our Championship survival Manning would be so derisive for the fan base it would be an horrendous appointment, that smug fu**er shouldn’t be anyhere near our club

Manning, bloody hell no. Robotic press conferences, uninspiring football and he will be off the first time another club flutters their eyelashes at him. He is also going to be on a hiding to nothing - a couple of losses and the mood in the stands will turn pretty quickly.

We had him on a rolling contract, he chose job security and more money when Bristol City offered it.

There was 2 sides to the story when he left but if it is him it would be a brave decision with the risk of alienating our fans.

Surely our board are way too competent to even contemplate Manning coming back. The way he left must surely mean they wouldn’t consider it and know how angry a large proportion of the fan base would be?

Oh wait a minute!!

If Manning comes in keeps us in the championship for me that will be half way to accepting him back but you just know he will come in keep us up and job hop to the next team . There's no loyalty in football but he really takes the biscuits

We won’t care at that point. If history repeats itself and he steers us clear of (another) relegation, I couldn’t give a shite if he leaves us for Swindon.

All this was blown madly out of proportion through people’s pride and protection of their club. But I felt it was crazy then, think it’s crazy now, and looking at the list of contenders I’d take him back all day long.

Errrr, one of our directors has just leaked our transfer targets on an instagram story today but yeah, sure, really competent...

Quite seriously, I was wondering last night whether Manning might’ve been inclined to change his mind about withdrawing his interest - and whether the club would be prepared to offer an olive branch. Lewis Price could possibly be acting as a mediator.

Wouldn’t be that angry if he comes back, I’d rather him over Sheehan for example.

Lots of things may have changed his outlook like the death of his son.

Pissed me off at the time how he left but that was partly our fault for still having him on a rolling contract
If he did and it was a big if there would be no clause where he could talk to another club and bug ger off unless the compensation was very lucrative which I doubt
