You clearly don't sit in the east stand if you think our fans are strange on here.

Yeah on the whole this is a pretty stable and informed cohort compared to some of the people that appear to crawl from under Oxfordshire rocks every other weekend to attend home games! 😉

You seem like the feeblest supporter on here.
Surely more would come if we went down then, as there’s be less chance we’d lose?
There is no guarantee we would come straight back up. No feeble about it. I’ve done my miles. I just don’t suffer fools like you.

Oh & for what it's worth, after my post on the manager... YES THE MANAGER!!!!
It was someone else that mentioned the proxy s***y k****m stadium.. give me strength 🤷🏻‍♂️

Careful. You may upset an infamous cohort of certain pub goers.
What's your problem?? don't get your hostility towards pub goers. Certain as in what??? I frequent not just the blackbird, but pubs in town , Cowley road, the sports bar, bowel Plex etc etc. on match days .I know fan's in all of them. From all walks of life & professions & lifestyles& ages ...Who are you to judge???

I had a dream last night that I’d come on here and read posts that related to the thread titles. But then like most dreams it appears to not actually be in anyway in touch with reality.

Lampard and Terry might get the Chelsea gig, if so I wonder who Cov would go for? Pompey might sack soon too. Manager merry go round, might be someone better if we wait a week.

Make your mind up, are you "out of here" or not?

The way I see it Rowett was originally brought in to secure our Championship status, which he passed with flying colours.

From that moment onwards there was a clear difference of opinion on how to progress and take the club forward.
Rowett wanted to create a Millwall Mk 2, the job he’d done at Millwall was the blueprint, his Millwall vision was how he saw and thought he could stabilise OUFC as a Championship club.

Rowett wanted a much more physical, taller, athletic type player, the ‘recruitment’ team/ board saw thing differently, they wanted to pursue a different type of recruitment. Rowett was given players who simply didn’t fit his blue print.

As I’ve said before there’s no way Rowett would’ve approved a huge part of our squad building budget on a right back if he thought there wouldn’t then be other funds available to bolster other areas in particular the midfield. Absolutely no way. That was a recruitment team/board room call, not what Rowett wanted or needed.

Rowett should’ve left in the summer with his head held high, mission accomplished, with a new head coach appointed whose recruitment vision and style of player and play matched those of the recruitment team.

Simply put our recruitment team/board room we’re not aligned with Rowett which begs the question why did persevere with him after he secured our championship status and why did they think they could string him along indefinitely thereafter?

To put mildly we’re now in a bit of a pickle , born out of poor boardroom level/recruitment forward thinking and decision making. Totally self inflicted

Whilst this post was made some pages ago and things have taken a turn as only a forum frequented by peculiar middle-aged men with awful opinions can do, it needs another bump lest those who haven't seen it.

Whoever the new manager who comes in is, they'll have to work within the strange parameters that modern football seems to have where the head coach has less say over players than, say, 20 years ago.

Some will pillory GR for his football, tactics and decisions that have landed us this low in the table. Some of that will be justified. Given the hand dealt to him though, there are others as culpable or even more so that need calling out. I don't hear much of this on Rad Ox at all.

John Terry just won't go away. Looking forward to his next TikTok (yes 45 year old men do that too).

Rowett has been sacked 5 times in his management career so what is your point?

My point is we are in a transfer window. Another week for a manager to be sacked, a further week of negotiations and we are halfway through the window. Do we really have that amount of time to wait for a manager who, by definition, will be getting sacked because he’s currently failing.

Yes I agree we shouldn't wait for someone still in a job to maybe get sacked.

I thought you meant we shouldn't employ a manager who had previously been sacked in which we would struggle to find one these days with how trigger happy clubs are.

Isn't it better to wait a week to get the right man than to act in haste and bring in someone that kip might disapprove of?
