It seems that Thohir is making the big decisions around manager recruitment though. Can you blame Tim Williams for this?
I'm not necessarily suggesting he should go because of this. He should have been gone a long time ago, a cultural reset for a new manager to come into would be beneficial to him too if you ask me.

Isn't it also a bit of a red flag that the owner is intervening in the first place? Does he really lack belief in Tim and Grant's judgement that much that he's taken matters into his own hands? Thohir has been virtually silent in his whole time here, which is no slight on him, but if he's really making the final decision it says a lot about our CEO and Chairman

He's to blame for quite a lot, but this isn't his indecision

If the board were allowed to just hire the best candidate they interviewed we would have a manager already. Sadly like the disastrous Indonesian tour Eric was trying to bring in someone else.

Tim Williams may not be directly to blame for the appointment taking so long, but when you think about it, he completely fucked the summer budget up and because of that, we went into the season without the quality that we needed. Fast forward 4 months, we're in the bottom 3, Rowett has been sacked, we're searching for a new manager and Teflon Tim still has a job...

Our current situation has everything to do with Tim Williams.

I suspect it's more that he's consolidated his ownership now so is more likely to want to make these key decisions himself. He was very hands on at Inter – particularly in the early days – and obviously with the Indonesia team.

West Brom sacked Ryan Mason Tuesday.

They’re set to appoint Eric Ramsay as their new manager already this weekend.

If it takes us near three weeks to appoint a manager sacked this season in League One then we are a shambles.
Speed doesn't always equal success though. If Ramsay proves to be a disaster and our new boss a huge success, wouldn't that reflect badly on how quickly WBA have moved?

But he's clearly not the best person to be making those footballing decisions. It's arrogant and dangerous.

....and guess what...'Ol Teflon comes from a career in FINANCE ! 🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏

Really like the way Craig Short talks, really hope he is kept on.
Oh, I think he has to. He provides continuity and is a smart guy. He's shown a lot of loyalty to the club and been a steady hand on the tiller at times of uncertainty. If they let him go it would be short sighted and disrespectful.

I’d rather wait than get Eric Ramsay in.

Just checking back in, hope everyones staying somewhat sane
..but having said that, my favourite cheeses are:
double gloucester, red leicester (or any cheese americans cant pronounce really), edam and gouda (pronounced howda)
The new manager will be the big cheese though.

Somebody in Worcestershire really needs to produce a Cheese of the same name for that purpose.
