Liam Manning does tick a lot of the right boxes for us

✅ Able to keep us up in a relegation scrap
✅ Able to work with Ed Waldron to build a cohesive team
✅ Has an effective style of football that works in both the Championship & League One

Whether it would happen given how he left is another matter, but he would be a sensible fit for a number of reasons

And a bonkers move for a lot more reasons. He dropped us in the s##t.

Rowett and certainly KR could be seen as pretty divisive managers.

Re-appointing Manning would crap all over that. I think the depth of feeling would be too strong for too many.

IF we went for Manning, I think the club would have to have some massive minimum release clause to protect the club. Maybe Manning would see this as a way of redemption and he can be loyal to a club.............

I went for Gary O'Neil purely on the basis that he has done it with a "small club" before. Ok that small club had a massive budget and ambitious owners. Personally I think it will be a overseas coach with an Indonesian back ground.

Manning was mentioned to me as someone they were considering about 10 days ago. The other name was Jonathan Woodgate. Manning would be a hugely divisive appointment, and the fan base would give him absolutely no leeway. Not sure about Woodgate either!

I think it will be Beale. Now followed by Cameron Brannagan on Instagram too. Odds on at the bookies although that doesn't mean much

Gary O'Neil would get my vote off that list, or not on the list - David Wagner.

Tony Mowbray - the cheap/poss quickfix option with one eye on league one.

Hasnt much of a managerial record to speak of though. Less than 80 games managed. Win percentage heavily distorted by being Rangers manager!
