General Possible introduction of kick-ins discussed by football's lawmakers Ifab

It would have to be a quick tap, not a full blast launch into the box - probably no run up would be allowed.
Surely. You can't have throw ins becoming effectively free-kicks and corners. They trialled that in an Isthmian League years ago and apparently it was a disaster of epic proportions.

Refs just need to be stronger with the likes of Wycombe, adding on time for time wasting and booking or sending off players who take the P**s. The cheating sides always seem to get the better of refs - maybe the fourth official needs to have a bigger role in keeping an eye on what they get up to.
I agree and it ought to be over all games (not perhaps making a special case for it being applied to Wycombe and old time Stevenage. Although... ;) ) , but whatever initiatives there are just get quietly forgotten after about three games and everything just reverts to how it was before! Remember the 'Respect' thing, where it was only captains who could speak to the ref? Or the season they actually started giving fouls for offences at corners? Or moving the ball forward if there was dissent at free kick (or have I imagined that one?). Or being serious about penalising diving, stopping opposition players standing close to a free kick to delay it being taken, actually penalising obstruction etc etc? They are all nine day wonders.

if you introduce new laws then enforce them the whole season not just for a few games.

Who came up with Goalkicks being allowed to be taken either side rather than where the ball went out, this is now an obvious time wasting opportunity.

Free Kicks:::: let them be what the name suggests rather than allow an opposing player to stand by the ball, forcing the attacker to pass sideways or backwards.

When a player kicks the ball away, then award a free kick forward the same distance as was kicked away.

Chat to Goalkeepers "before" the game if you have to remind them about keeping 1 foot on the line, why the need for a conversation once a penalty is awarded.

Return to the keepers having 6 seconds to release the ball from both open play and Goalkicks and add the same time for a throw in to be taken.
