This could potentially be a KEY game -- Are Argyle there for the taking now that Rooney has left the building?
Since this is a rescheduled game; following its postponement in December, will they (at home) be a different proposition ?
Can we secure the three precious away points and move up the table before we take on Blackburn Rovers the following Saturday?
This is definitely another SIX POINTER !!

Will Plymouth have the “new manager “ bounce?

"The plan was to sell the finished product to a streaming service like Amazon or Netflix, thereby boosting the club’s coffers and stamping Plymouth Argyle on the cultural map with a force that games away to Preston and Oxford United alone can’t quite muster."

Catching strays from the Guardian.

Quietly confident that this well be our 2nd league away win, and first double of the season- reckon it'll be a hard won 1-2 ,TG & Shemmy

What a pathetic and misinformed comment. If they had said Preston, Blackburn, and Burnley, for example, it would have made sense, but there's more culture in Oxford than the rest of the Championship put together!

Like all plans that try to be too clever it had a big f*****g Wayne Rooney sized hole in it.

I'd say at most a draw. I dont think they'll be there for the taking. But I agree, it'll be a hard won game if we win.

These snippets from the Championship reddit were funny to read at the time (I think a day after a loss):

I was, but with todays additional injury news I’m not so sure

It does seem that way - edgy ! This is just about as opposite a managerial appointment to Rowett as you could get ! It’s a bit like Stoke when they went for the Norwich coach and have now seen the light and gone down the tried and trusted route. In fairness to our board, they seem to have recognised exactly what a championship relegation scrap needs. Plymouth’s last three appointments - Foster, Rooney and Muslic - all seem a bit fanciful and wrong man at wrong time.

One of those appointments that either really pays off or is a disaster, no middle ground. Although the situation the Rooney appointment has left them in I suppose what is there to lose, they almost had to double down.
