It’s such a strange aspect of our history that this is the case. Particularly as the Conference play-offs in the past decade played such a significant part in our existence.
The star itself is possibly a signal of our general decline since their introduction in 1987 aside from 1996 and the years following 2010.
Perhaps the next few seasons will break this record...
