Amazed we didn’t get a pen against Luton when Placheta went through and got sandwiched and brought down.
Watching the highlights Plymouth get one when the ball was smashed at the players face and it ricochets onto his arm. But Burnley don’t get one whilst a Pompy player practically juggles the ball on the goal line.

Watch out pal, the grammar police will be on you soon about that apostrophe.

Google says....................

  • Abbreviations
Are formed by omitting letters from the beginning, middle, or end of a word or phrase. For example, "professor" becomes "prof".
  • Contractions
Are formed by omitting letters from the middle of a word and replacing them with an apostrophe. For example, "cannot" becomes "can't".

Yes, so that makes "Pens" an abbreviation of "Penalties".

Although I though a contraction was formed by two separate words, such as "I've" being the contracted version of "I have"

The placheta one was a foul, but was outside the box therefore not a penalty.

On the subject of penalties we haven’t had one( as far as I can remember) in 33 games this season. We should’ve had one in each game against Luton that weren’t given.
