We are playing Ardley in the quarterfinals of The Oxfordshire Senior Cup tomorrow evening (Tuesday)

This is rearranged after being postponed from last Wednesday.

Last week I didn’t expect to see too many first team players on show as we were playing Chelsea’s kids the night before, but tomorrow evening we will have had a week free of football so a chance for one or two to get some game time.

The game will kick off at 7.30pm at the Playing Fields Ardley, OX27 7PA.

Admission Charges will be £7.00 Adults, £5.00 over 65s, and £1.00 for under 15 years of age. Programmes are £1.00

Maybe the Hereford keeper along with Brannagan, the Man City lads, dickie and few other fringe first team players?

subs: Chillcott, Harris, McCreadie, Crooks, Stevens.


A very youthful looking lineup. Pretty much our U18s I think.

All the old Berkshire teams,when they became Oxfordshire in 1974,the stayed affiliated to the Berks and Bucks league.
As they are not affiliated to the Oxfordshire FA,they are ineligible for the Senior cup.

I dont know,but it's a stupid situation,you have kids clubs playing under the Oxfordshire banner,then soon as your 16,you swop to Berks and Bucks.
All the junior teams in South Oxfordshire still play in the North Berks league.
Even the Sunday teams in the UTV league,have always played in the Berks and Bucks cup.

Hardly top teams apart from didcot town. Hellenic League at best along with Oxford City Nomads etc. Just out of interest what became of Abingdon Town?

Abingdon Town are in the Hellenic Lg Div 2 East. In their 1st season after rebuilding having previously dropped to the North Berks Lg. They are in the promotion battle at the moment. The standard of the opposition is very variable.

Cheers mate, I remember their quality side in the 80s, John Harvey Lynch, Liam Herbert etc. Great side.

Not sure but possibly at half time in the Bristol Rovers game - live on Rad Ox! I'll never forget Nick Harris' classic when he wasn't sure if he'd pulled out ball 6 or 9 with only 8 teams in the draw - legend!
